what some guests have to say…
...Gorgeous place that exceeded all expectations.
…One of the most charming places we have been!
…Great Family Getaway
...Amazing weekend at your beautiful home!
…My family and I cannot say thank you enough. We had such an amazing weekend in your beautiful home! It was more than we expected - the pictures don't do it justice:)
….This is a 'must go' place and a 'must have' experience. The place has an incredible infrastructure to accommodate even the most demanding. Very reserved and beautiful in every detail. We definitely want to go back and stay longer, it was a very romantic stay.”
This little gem deserves its acclaim! My family and I spent Thanksgiving there, and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. They layout of the home gave everyone an opportunity to commune in common spaces, while also allowing quiet time in their own quarters. The location is fantastic, as it is set back along the creek for wonderful views, yet shaded from close-by neighbors.
With a family ranging in age from five months to 92 years, Evan's property pleased us all. I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative, and I hope that my family has the pleasure of staying again in the coming years.
…Evan was very easy to work with and made long-distance planning easy. I would do this again - preferably with a longer stay. It was easy for my 93 year old mother to navigate and enjoy view without having to climb stairs. The frogs and turtle in front pond were a hit with 10 year old. She counted 7. We found ladder, scissors, measuring tape, and other items handy when we needed them. Laundry facilities worked very well.
..This is a beautiful and unique property in a fantastic setting. The owner was easy to deal with and very responsive to our needs. Our stay was quite pleasant.
..Lovely furniture, nice garden with fountains, multiple terraces with a great view. Our favorite places within the unit were the roof-deck, the fireplace and the boardwalk down the stairs at the water. All together an explicit recommendation!
..What a treasure to find a home that was so perfect for our need, so private, yet so close to the downtown Annapolis area! This gorgeous home is on the water, and even in late winter, the views are incredible. It gave us a feeling of total privacy, but was only about a mile to the Naval Academy. The floor plan is open, has very fun and eclectic but comfortable decorating, and with bedrooms and the main living areas on the main floor it was very easy for my 'stair challenged' father to be part of the group without having to climb any stairs. Highly recommend this house!
.. We just returned from a too-short stay at this stunning home. Everything I read in the reviews and saw in the photos was accurate - for my first experience with HomeAway that was great. Evan was very nice to deal with, easygoing, clear, comfortable to talk to, and accessible. He responded quickly to my inquiry and follow-ups.
Evan met us when I arrived with my parents and kids, and put us at ease while efficiently showing us around the house/property. He has a calm friendly way about him.
The home is stunning without being fussy. Everywhere you look is an artfully designed nook or a serene view into another space. The windows all across the waterside lend an outdoors-indoors feel.
My job brings me to high end golf/spa resorts, so my expectations for decor and cleanliness are high but I always want unique character too. This home has it all. It was clean and very neat, decorated with a wonderful sense of humor and beauty, and an intuition about what will make people feel comfortable. Interesting books are all around. The mannequin at the dinner table was a surprise to my very conservative parents but we all enjoyed her as a conversation piece. The outdoor areas are not sparkling new, but the photos are accurate and the comfort and character were better, to us, than generic perfection. We had fun in the driveway with the scooter, basketball hoop, and punching bag. The kitchen was well appointed and we brought food to enjoy lunches and breakfasts at the house.
The hot tub was perfect - watching the stars and the falling leaves in there was heavenly. We enjoyed the sitting area around the outdoor fire pit and had morning coffee floating on the barge with its fire pit going. Lunch was up on the rooftop deck. The trees are tall enough to give privacy even up there. We marveled over how the home absorbed 8 people with plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The bedrooms were luxurious - very comfortable beds, each room had its own personality. My parents liked the most conservative middle room with its serene blue-grey walls. My younger brother and SIL chose the memory-foam mattress in the 'antler' room. My sister and I shared the master bedroom with the view. Loved it! Hope to be back again soon!
