These Illinois cabins are only 7 miles from Garden of the Gods. Trails for hiking, mountain biking, bicycling, bouldering, bird watching or rock climbing are endless and nearby. Fish, swim, hike and picnic at Pounds Hollow Lake. Enjoy the overlooks, boulders and canyons at Rim Rock Recreational trail which is just across the road from the cabins. All of these Southern Illinois Shawnee Forest cabins have air conditioning, heat, kitchen including stove, frig, microwave, coffee maker, toaster; bathroom with shower, screened in porch, electric fireplace, satellite tv and DVD, all linens, cookware, plates, utensil, outside grill and picnic table. We provide wood for the fire ring, DVDs, games, coffee and popcorn. The cabin inside walls are either cedar or pine and each cabin is decorated in a pleasing cabin style using the name of the cabin as the theme. Everything you need is in the cabins except food and we do provide coffee and popcorn. We have 5 cabins of all sizes and something for everyone. Eagle's Retreat and Coyote Hollow have wifi.
Coyote Hollow : Coyote Hollow sleeps 5 and is all on one floor and one room (except bath). There is a queen size sofa lounger and a bunk bed with full size on the bottom. The kitchen has full size appliances and the bath has a 4' shower and a large water heater.. There is a 12'x16' screened in porch on the back with picnic table as well as lounging chairs, and a 24' sitting porch across the front complete with bend willow chairs. There is a satellite tv/dvd player in this cabin. The cabin has 36' doorways inside and out and a ramp onto the front porch. There is a slight step from the porches into the cabin.
Eagles Retreat : Eagle's Retreat is our elite cabin and will sleep 9. There is a private bedroom with a queen size sleigh bed, a loft that has room to stand with stairs that will sleep 5, a queen size sofa lounger in the living room. The kitchen has full size appliances and the roomy bath has a 4' shower and a large water heater. There is a 12'x24' screened in back porch with picnic table and a 24' sitting porch across the front. This cabin has 36' doorways inside and out, a ramp onto the front porch and no step getting in or out of the cabin. There is a tv/dvd in the living room and loft of this cabin.
Bears Den : Bear's Den will sleep six and has a sleeping loft with ladder. There is a queen size bed on the ground floor and a full size innerspring mattress in the sleeping loft. There are also two twin (bunk) beds on the main floor. The kitchen has an apartment size stove and 7.5 cu refrigerator, a 40 gallon water heater and the bath has a 4' shower. There is a 22'x8' screened in porch with bent wood furniture on the front and a small sitting porch on the back looking into the woods. The cabin includes a satellite tv and dvd player. There are two steps onto the porch of this cabin.
Deer Run : Deer Run sleeps 8 and has a sleeping loft with stairs. There is a private bedroom with a queen size bed, a full size futon in the living room with an innerspring mattress and two full size mattresses (with innersprings) in the sleeping loft. The kitchen has full size appliances and the bath has a 4' shower. There is a 10' x 24' screened in porch with a picnic table and glider. There is a satellite TV & DVD player in the living room and bedroom of this cabin. There are steps onto the porch of this cabin. For those of you who like old cemeteries there is one next to Deer Run. For those of you who do not like old cemeteries there is one next to Deer Run.
