booked this rental for two of us coworkers attending a trade show at the McCormick Center for the week. It's close by (about 1.7 miles), several blocks away from Comiskey Field with great rooftop views from their deck, and a WONDERFUL hot tub to soak the day's worries away in the evenings. Best stocked rental I've had booking through HomeAway with everything from a gourmet kitchen, coffee, sundry personal items, cleaning supplies and laundry stuff to garage parking and super easy walking to many nice restaurants and pubs. You can't go wrong with the location and the place is HUGE with three nice bedrooms, super comfortable bedding and the quaintness of high ceilings and a Victorian feel. The basement even reminded me of my grandmother's old house with the quirkiness and smells of old varnish, wood and stone. I would recommend this property and the super friendly owners in a heartbeat, and would book here first again when Chicago is on my itinerary! Hot tub was easy to use and a wonderful perk. Two different washer/dryers were available and I did use the one in the basement which worked great. Bob and Bob were quick to answer questions via text and VERY helpful! 5 stars - a heckuva lot cheaper than hotels and super roomy! The bathroom is very nice with a great steam shower, body sprayers and great hot water. Having the garage eliminated street parking and was great in the evenings when the street was full. Even with White Sox ball field traffic it wasn't congested, and it's just a really nice quaint neighborhood with lots of friendly people out on their stoops at night with neighbors. We walked every evening for several miles to different restaurants and never once felt that we were in a bad area, and it's an easy area to navigate. I looked at other nearby rentals and this one definitely has them beat - hands down!

Great place for a great price!
Stayed here for a girls’ getaway with two friends. Place was the perfect size, we each had our own room with plenty of storage for luggage, but also had plenty of communal space to sit and relax with a glass of wine. The shower with the body jets was amazing, as was the hot tub to relax after long days of walking around the city. Kitchen was nice and well-equipped, though we never had time to actually cook. Internet was fast and DirecTV was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable enough, although the pillows were a bit thin. Nothing unbearable though, and the rental was very competitively priced, given the size. If I find myself in Chicago, I would love to rent this place again We didn’t have a car, so I can’t speak to parking, but the place was conveniently located to a Red Line stop, and if you’re going to a White Sox game (which we did), you can’t ask for a better location. Used Uber only for airport rides, since we flew through the further airport (O’Hare) but even those were fairly inexpensive. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. The owners were incredibly friendly through email, responded quickly, and sent tons of info. The keypad lock system was nice and we didn’t have to be responsible for keys. My only suggestions: thicker, better pillows (we bought cheap ones at Target and left them, though I don’t know if they remained) and a full-length mirror. Being a group of girls, we would have loved a full-length mirror for outfit checks ;)

Great Property..
I had a great time with my family. The house was very conveniently located. The house was very accommodating with everything you need. We were comfortable enough to have a day where we just stood “home”. It was relaxing, drank my coffee on the roof top with great view. Very relaxing. I recommend this house and will stay there again when I return. Thank you for for everything.

Spacious and spotless house.
Bob's place was very charming and spacious. The house is very well equipped and has everything you will need in a home away from home. The jacuzzi is a great perk. The neighborhood is quiet and it is only 15 minutes drive from Millenium Park. We had a great time here and would definitely recommend it.
