Gracious Hosts and a Chicago Treasure!
Shawn and Paula are the most gracious of hosts! Their home is one of the nicest VRBO properties we have ever stayed in. We were in town with our two daughters for a concert, but got so much more than we bargained for by getting a total “Chicago” experience staying in this lovely Andersonville flat that is full of historical character and charm, yet completely remodeled in modern and tasteful décor. They welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a brief tour of the place and shared great tips on places to eat, things to do, and how to get around. They have thought of every amenity anyone could possibly need from the well-stocked supplies in the pantry and cook’s cart - to menus for area restaurants– to a coffee station - to plentiful towels/toiletries. There are so many special touches found throughout the flat like the “Alexa” on the bedside table and the use of a notebook on the desk in the living room. The menu board with all the info about the Andersonville community was very helpful, too. The beds were very comfortable and all the furniture was perfect. We loved the use of the garage, as well. It was fun to relax with a cup of coffee and peruse one of the great books on Chicago that are provided for guests. We could go on and on! Can’t say enough nice things about our stay at this wonderful Chicago treasure!

Beautiful apartment!
The property owners are very intent on assuring that your every need is met. I particularly liked the large chalkboard in the kitchen that had lists of restaurants, grocery shopping, clothes shopping...etc that would be helpful to out of towners. Calo's around the corner also has amazing Italian food!!!

Amazing location, beautiful interior
This property was just off Clark Ave. in Andersonville. It was a perfect location to walk to local shops and restaurants. The inside was so nice...I am picky, and it was very clean. They stocked everything one would need from dishes and glasssware down to coffee and milk in the fridge. Shawn and Paula were so gracious and showed us everything we needed to know. I also loved that they had guidebooks and magazines about Chicago aplenty in each room. I would rent this condo again in a heartbeat....my daughters didn't want to leave!

Opening day for our new vacation rental was March 30, 2017. Reviews starting to come in now. It's a hit! So hurry. We are booking up fast. The property is located in Andersonville, just steps from Clark St. and a short #22 bus ride to Wrigley Field, home of the World Champion Chicago Cubs. The apartment is a two bedroom, one bath unit on the second floor of a classic Chicago 2 flat building, built in the early 1900's, in the Arts and Crafts style. The apartment has modern amenities, with upgrades to the kitchen and bath. But it retains many vintage details, such as stained glass windows. Andersonville, once a destination for Swedish immigrants, is now a very eclectic area, with plenty to see and do. Small, one-of-a-kind retail shops, line Clark Street. Also, there are a large number of restaurants and bars alongside the retail stores. You can dine at places like Big Jones, Hamburger Mary's, Ranalli's Pizza and Calo Italian Restaurant. Or have a drink at Marty's Martini Bar. It's all here for you. And should you want to explore the rest of the city, we are just a few blocks from the Red Line (elevated train line). The Red Line will connect you to downtown and access to the airports. We are also within walking distance of the lakefront, with its sandy beaches and miles of bike paths (Divvy rental bike kiosks nearby).
