We had a great time at the orchid house. It was actually easy to find since many in our group were familiar with area! We were in town for a weekend event with just a few of us staying on for the remainder of the week. Lisa and Kerry were quite helpful, and put up with my busy travel schedule that meant I contacted them later than planned! We booked the main house and the sleeping loft so everyone could spread out. The house is simply beautiful. It appeared that some renovations were taking place on property with supplies stored in the area under loft, but that didn't detract from our stay. From breakfast on the lanai to "family" dinners, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The house is located close enough to the airport and town that it's convenient without losing its Paradise of privacy! The avocados and Lilikoi growing on property were an excellent treat!

Home away from home
This location has super awesome hosts! The house was perfect for our large ohana of 16! There are plenty of extra sleeping arrangements for the keiki and tons of space to play outside. We even made great use of the dry sauna after a long day of exploring the island.

Tropical dream vacation
When booking our vacation Dr. Szabo responded to our request almost immediately. Liza was very informative about the mansion and surrounding area. She told us about the beach just down the way and local attractions to visit. On arrival it was easy to locate the property from the directions provided. Upon entering the property the landscape was filled with lush greenery and had a well manicured lawn. The property was so private we felt as if we were in our own world. The caretaker Kerry was there to greet and show us the property. Kerry demonstrated how to use the keyless entry and security system. The house was perferct for our large group of 16 people. It had plenty of comfortable beds located in many private rooms. The house was immaculately clean with a very pleasant decor. The kitchen was well supplied with all appliances and utensil's needed for our large group. The loft apartment provided my wife and I plenty of comfort and privacy from the rest of the group. The children were kept busy with a very large lawn area and a movie library at night. We all made use of the very large sauna and exercise equipment. Kerry was the greatest; he told us about the many waterfalls nearby and the best way to see them all on a single road trip. We would recommend this property to anyone with a large group or someone who just wants a private romantic getaway. This property is an ingredient for a perfect vacation recipe.

Stunning Victorian plantation home
We really and truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Victorian home in the subdivision known as orchidland it's called that because of all the baby orchids growing around the property as I found out later. This home is spacious and very reminiscent of the early plantation homes that the missionaries built during the sugarcane heyday of the Hawaiian islands Lots of room for my friends and family which was nice for our annual family gathering The Viking range allowed us to cook large meals with a gourmet touch The outside sauna was large enough to accommodate six people comfortably and it was a pleasant surprise after a day of sightseeing, hiking visiting the volcano or skin diving and snorkeling it gave the property a spa feeling along with the Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom The garage has been converted into an open-air exercise and rec room Above the garage there is a wonderful granny flat loft with kitchenette and a full bathroom which created a nice autonomous space for those in our group who needed a little bit of extra privacy The house worked very well for folks who just wanted to stay around and read a good book as well. With a large lanai surrounding three sides of the house. Even the occasional rain was entertaining and then the sun was out before we knew it A large grassy yard about a half an acre in size graces the front of the house.The roads are fully paved up to about the last quarter mile just drive slow the road is very adequate and lends itself to the overall privacy of the home In short I really enjoyed my stay and did a lot of healing I plan to come back every year for two weeks to a month to this wonderful wonderful place One satisfied customer

Big Beauty Victorian built by a husband for his wife in 2001, the floor plan is that of the east coast early 1900s and very well designed to flow room to room. Mahagony wood throughout the windows and wanes coat, handbills staircase vaulted master bedroom and living room beatiful beamed ceilings. make for real character of a victorian, Viking range in Kitchen boasts for great cooking kitchen, two dining areas, extra beds in both masters. Bathrooms and showers are marble, master has jacuzzi tub. Bedrooms have windows and hardwood floors as well as through out the home. Green huge lawn for playing ball. Extras are , SAUNA, GYM, Extra Private second unit available for extra occupancy or a smaller party, a detached Guest House-Studio Loft Apartment, If you wan the $79 night request on inquiry the Guest House rates or rooms when bed and breakfast times might be open.Otherwise the house ranges in price per occupancy. Combined house and guest house/loft ,Sleeps 1-20 , Rates as low as $79nt Loft alone and up. Small additional per night fee per occupant. Guest studio Loft sleeps 2-4/6 . Victorian 4 bed 3bath house sleeps 1-10/12 occupants beginning at $99-$129 nt depending on season for 1-2 people and add $10-$20 per occupant negotiable. We have two units. House + Studio Guest house Loft apartment, 20 person sauna, and exercise bikes/treadmills and foosball .. A house or guest house for every budget single/couple, baby or kids and event size group our family on 3 acres.
The loft the smaller can be for a single/couple or small family of 4. House can house a family or rent rooms on our air n b nb time open. Or exclusive rent both or even the front house we use for Teams that come to Hilo for Dance, Hula , swim or volleyball etc. can fit between all 3.
The Loft can be its own studio apartment if you dont want the larger house /and rate, and need a budget but clean and pretty rental. Access to 20 person sauna, gym equipment and foosball by request share.
