Details

Home Description

Our vacation home, Ka Pua Hale—meaning “Blossom House”—couldn’t be better situated. The secluded Sea Lodge Beach is a short walk away, and its pristine shoreline is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or basking in the sun. A few minutes’ drive in the opposite direction brings you to the heart of Princeville, where you can pick up fresh pineapples at the local farmers’ market or tee off at the popular Makai Golf Club. Don’t forget to visit the 2,500-acre Princeville Ranch, where you can zipline through the jungle, explore the local waterfalls on horseback, and kayak down Kauai’s picturesque Kalihiwai Stream.
After a full day of adventure, Ka Pua Hale is the perfect retreat. The house is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and a one-and-a-half-acre community park, ideal for practicing your golf stroke or watching the sunset over the volcanic mountains. The home also includes a shaded terrace with several lounge chairs and an outdoor dining area.

Inside, the cathedral ceilings and Tommy Bahama-style furnishings invite you to kick back in true Hawaiian comfort. Our vacation rental costs less than any Princeville hotel. But, unlike a hotel, you get a full private home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a full-sized washer and dryer. We also provide plenty of extra amenities, including mountain bikes, a high chair, a Pack ’n Play, snorkel gear, golf clubs, boogie boards, and beach chairs. And did we mention that, unlike many accommodations in the area, you can stay as few as three nights

Beautiful home with lots of extras

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful home. The location was great, particularly because some of us were hiking the Na Pali Coast. The restaurant of the family visited the nearby beaches using the available beach chairs, umbrellas, body boards, etc or played board games and put together puzzles in the home while we were camping on the Kalalau Beach. After our hike, the home served as a perfect base of operations to explore the entire island. I initially thought that we would eat out a lot more, but we only ended up eating out for 2 meals due to the great kitchen in the home. We grilled salmon and steaks using the grill and baked all sorts of great dishes using spices already in the home (we only had to buy a couple spices and then left them for others to enjoy). There was an outdoor shower that everyone fought over after returning from the beach. What seemed like an endless supply of towels and a great washer and drier proved super convenient as well. The neighbors were also very nice, but not overbearing. One gave us extra bananas they had just picked and another couple became quick friends with my parents, providing all sorts of tips on things to see and do on the island. My kids LOVED the bike with an extension for another person to ride (essentially a 2-seat bike). We would wake up early and ride it to some of the nearby beaches and even to the grocery store once. Overall - a fantastic place to stay on one of the most beautiful places in the world. Will definitely try to stay in this home next time we visit the island.

Amazing Location and Home, Has everything and more

Our stay in Kauai was the best ever. The house had everything we needed for the beach, no extra rentals to add to the budget, it was awesome! Our grandkids were with us for part of the time and we had beach toys, blankets, floaties and boogie boards for the beach. Our favorite beaches, Anini and Hanalei Bay beach were just a short drive away. In the evenings we rode the bikes that were at the house to see the baby albatross that nest in the neighborhood. It truly was a home away from home experience, Loved it and will return!
