Charming one bedroom!

Even though it's a one bedroom, it's so incredibly spacious! We loved our stay! I would highly suggest staying here!

Excellent value for an entire house.

Full kitchen, sleeps 4, washer/dryer, fridge, clean and nice looking. There are beach chairs, a cooler, an umbrella, googles, boogie boards etc. that are were free to borrow, what more could you want? House is surrounded by beautiful jungle, has lemon, avocado and orange trees. Free Wifi, TV has Complimentary Netflix, resident geckos and wild chickens will greet you upon arrival. I have stayed at places in Hawaii that were just a dilapidated room with a dirty bed in it that cost more! Everything was clean and tidy, fresh sheets, totally impressed at what I got for my money.

Wonderful rainforest getaway!

We had such a wonderful time in this great private rental. Located about 20 minutes from Hilo, this is a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet with access to the Hilo side and Volcano National Park. It was immaculately clean and very bright, with a very comfortable king sized bed. There is a large side porch and great views of the rainforest. It is in a fairly remote area so it is very peaceful and relaxing. A computer, tv, and netflix are a nice added touch. The kitchen is clean and has everything you need to cook a meal, which was very helpful since food in Hawaii can be expensive. The owners also provide towels and body boards, which is a huge perk. I highly recommend this rental for people looking for quiet, affordability, and access to the Hilo side. Located very nearby is the city of Hilo, Volcano National Park, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, Panaewa rainforest zoo, hot springs and beautiful beaches. If you want to spend most of your time in Kona it is still totally doable, but be prepared for a longer drive (as is the case for anywhere else on the Hilo side). I'll definitely be staying at this property again!

Would definitely stay again

We loved this little house. It was perfect for our 11 night stay and was a great homebase. It was really nice to have the beach items like chairs, umbrella, boogie board etc included. There were plenty of cooking items etc and the washer and dryer were really nice to have for a long stay. The whole place is very clean and well kept. We didn't see any bugs or roaches and just had a few lizards visit (probably part of the reason there are no bugs). We loved the fresh limes outside for our guacamole and to freshen our drinks. The neighbors are very close. They kept to themselves and were friendly when crossed paths. I would have given it 5 stars except it is listed as sleeping 4 but only had two bath towels and two beach towels. We had two adults and two kids and had to all share 2 bath towels and the two beach towels. Also, for those who are light sleepers be warned there is a rooster that likes to crow right outside the bedroom window at all hours. Many nights it crowed at midnight, 2am, 4am, 5am and so on. And a few days it just crowed at dawn. I would definitely stay again. For the budget traveler who is just looking for somewhere to sleep and hang in the evenings I highly recommend!
