It is hard to leave this beautiful villa. The photos on VRBO don't do it justice, it is far more beautiful and larger than photos depict. The lanai is very large (important because there were 5 of us sharing it) and faces the ocean providing prime whale viewing. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. There are beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, swim "noodles", and beach towels. There is a washer and dryer with laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets. They also provide Costco sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner rather than the little one ounce bottles we usually see. The kitchen has every utensil, pot, pan, and other kitchen gadget we needed to prepare meals, including sharp knives! It is truly only a 5 minute walk to the beach, and even closer is the pool. A great snorkel beach, Kapalua beach is only .6 miles from the house. The owners have been incredibly helpful. We first spoke with them a year ago when we began planning this trip. They emailed information on where to eat, things to do with children, activities and more. We had not stayed in Kapalua before, but now we can't imagine not staying here, it is so different from the resort environment. It is peaceful and quiet.

True Spirit of Aloha
This is where you're family will experience the true spirit of Aloha! We were treated like family from the first moment we contacted Joan and Dennis and our welcome to there beautiful home was fabulous. We experienced countless beautiful rainbows after sunshowers and sunrises enjoying a coffee on the patio overlooking the beautiful ocean views. Did I share the beautiful night stars as well after a long day at the beach and exploring? The amenities and condition of their home was fantastc and very comfortable for our family. Only 2 minutes drive to Kapalua Bay (great snorkeling and turtles visit daily) and Napili beach (what we believe are of the two most beautiful on the island) and you can walk to the beach in front of the ridge as well. Another great beach for families and snorkeling is Airport Beach. Great amenities as well. What we also loved was the quiet and great luxurious feel of Kapalua compared to Kaanapali. It's a short drive to Lahaina (great for walks and beautiful sunsets and don't miss the Old Lahaina Luau but book as far in advance as possible and if full, keep calling back for their waiting list) and Whalers Village where you can experience great dining and shopping. LOVE OUR TIME ON MAUI!
The Condo was everything I hoped it would be... a well equiped kitchen, wonderful amenities, updated unit and a beautiful view. In addition to the big things... like a wonderful property, it is the little things that really made a difference - clear instructions in how to get to the property in the dark, a personal welcome note with wine and coffee, the A/C on and an instruction book of good restaurants and fun things to do. Joan was very responsive when we had a question... which matters! I am extremely picky about where I stay for vacation and this property certainly met my expectations!! Very clean, updated, & well equipped villa!
Upon entering this property, my whole family said, "Wow! This is so nice!" From the fully equipped kitchen to the wonderful decor, this unit far surpassed our expectations! And Joan and Dennis went above and beyond with their many helpful emails before, during and after our stay! So many thoughtful touches through-out their villa...a thoughtful welcome note, along with a package of coffee and a bottle of wine! Enjoyed reading entries previous guests had made in 2 journals they have on a sofa table. The view from the lanai is breath-taking--we hope to return during whale-watching season as other guests commented they were able to see whales from the lanai! One closet held everything needed for the beach-boogie boards, umbrellas, mats, chairs, and even a couple of coolers-which we used every day! Also some sand toys, which I'm sure younger kids would enjoy! Thank you Joan and Dennis for making our 2017 family vacation so comfortable!

Fantastic location and fantastic hosts
Joan and Dennis' condo was the perfect place for our first visit to Maui. Everything that we needed was available for our use. The views from the lanais are fabulous and so relaxing. It was great to have the A/C and the fans to keep it cool after a day on the beach. The beds were comfy. The showers were great and updated. The kitchen is fantastic with pretty much anything that you'll need for your stay. The complex is so quiet that we felt like we were the only ones there. Joan was more than helpful with her suggestions for activities and areas to visit. She was also very helpful in answering any questions that this first-timer had. They are fantastic hosts, no worries here. Thanks again for the opportunity to stay here and we hope, hope, hope to be back again!

Just lovely! Comfy ~ clean ~ updated ~ great location and easy walk to beach ~ lovely view
We had the best family vacation and this condo/property was just perfect for us! Great morning coffee time on the lanai and cocktails at sunset ~ awwwww, miss it already! We were celebrating two college graduates (nursing school and law school) and their spouses so there were 6 of us. The two main bedrooms were just wonderful for 2 couples and we did rock/paper/scissors for the hide-a-bed in main living area for third couple...not a comfortable hide-a-bed but then are any of them comfortable? Kitchen well supplied with dishes and utensils and cooking items. AC worked great in all areas but in the evening the breezes (Kapalua is very windy...we love it!) we opened things up and enjoyed the warm breeze and smells of the island! We hope to book here again!!! We LOVE Kapalua! It's always like home to us and now we've found our new fav condo/property!! Oh!! NO BUGS!!! We loved that!!

What a fabulous home you have!! It was everything that was hoped for and more! Wonderful memories of relaxing on the lanai while watching the waves and the sky. So quiet and private which made the vacation even more restful. I would definitely recommend this home and am looking forward to coming back. Joan and David gave us lots of information on the area and activities in Maui. You're the best!

A wonderful and memorable stay!
We made last minute plans to visit a friend in Maui who lives near Kapalua. When we visit Maui, we usually stay in Wailea or Lahaina but decided to look for a place closer to my friend. Well we just discovered the most perfect place to stay on Maui!! The condo is located on a ridge with breathtaking views of the ocean and Molokai in a beautiful community between The Ritz and The Montage resorts. It is steps away from the Kapalua Coastal Trail where I walked every morning and enjoyed watching the incredible surf and saw lots of sea turtles. The condo is also located next to two of the most beautiful beaches in Maui, Oneloa Bay and DT Fleming’s. Oneloa Bay is a short 3-4 minute walk from the condo and Fleming’s is about 5-7 minutes further by the Ritz. Not only are these beaches spectacular, they are less crowed than the beaches in Wailea or Ka’anapali. If you are looking for a more peaceful and relaxing Maui vacation, Kapalua is the place to go. In addition to the restaurants at both the Ritz and the Montage, there are several other great restaurants within walking distance, including Sansei and Merriman’s. There is also a Honolua store nearby where you can buy anything you might need such as prepared foods, groceries, wine/beer, etc. There are golf courses and hiking trails nearby too. Everything you need is within walking distance from this condo!! It is truly the perfect location and we are so glad we found it! If the location alone with the stunning views isn't enough to convince you this is the best place to stay on Maui, you’ll definitely be convinced once you enter the condo. It is so beautifully and tastefully decorated, and has every amenity you need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed, and there’s plenty of closet space. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals and the lanai overlooking the ocean is huge enough to dine or just lounge and enjoy the magnificent view! But to us, the very best thing about renting this amazing condo are the owners. They could not have been easier or more pleasant to work with. They were so incredibly helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. Joan and Dennis, a heartfelt THANK YOU for everything, and for making our trip a truly memorable one, for so many reasons as you know. We can’t wait to come back!! Meg and Bob

Fantastic Place
This condo is outstanding, and the owner's couldn't be nicer. It is very,very well equipped, was spotless when we arrived, and I really can't think of anything that they could do better for our comfort. The kitchen had a good supply of condiments on hand to get started, along with a bag of great coffee. There are chairs, umbrellas, mats, and all kinds of toys for the beach. The view is great, and you can hear the waves from the beach. We will hope to return here as soon as possible. Thank you for a great vacation.

This family owned home features hand carved furniture & fantastic, 180 degree ocean views to Molokai. The recent remodel includes granite counter tops, tile floors, new appliances, & air conditioning. The views from every window are landscaped and private.
The two separated bedrooms each have a king-sized bed & adjoining expansive bathrooms. The master bedroom boasts a a small wall safe for your valuables & a secluded lanai overlooking the ocean. The couch in the living room makes into a surprisingly comfortable queen-sized bed. The 3rd bathroom, complete with a shower, is accessible to your guests or for those sleeping on the sofa bed. A Graco Pack & Play is available.
Three HD TV's, Wifi, Ipod dock, telephones with free long-distance to U.S. and Canada, cable TV, & high speed Roadrunner Turbo internet connection keep you in touch with the world while the plush lanai furniture beckons the visitor to sit back & enjoy the warm ocean breezes.
The villa is located next to three world class golf courses (The Kapalua, The Bay Course & the world-famous Plantation - home of the PGA Hyundai Tournament). All have breath-taking vistas. As a guest of our villa we can give you a discount on two courses - just ask.
Fine beaches, judged by many as the best in Maui, are minutes away- Kapalua Beach; D. T. Fleming Beach; Napili Bay; Oneloa Beach, Honolua Bay & the adjoining Mokule'ia (or Slaughterhouse) Beach. The snorkeling is awesome!
At the end of a short cul-de-sac this front row villa has panoramic views of the ocean & the island of Molokai. In season whale watching from the lanai is a MUST (with an owner provided telescope and binoculars). Although located just minutes from Lahaina the villa is situated in a lavishly landscaped & peaceful setting.
It's a short walk to the nearest Association pool with well maintained BBQ's & a covered, outdoor kitchen area (includes range, refrigerator, microwave, lending library, tables & chairs). Around the corner is the Ritz Carlton with its fine restaurants & amenities. Groceries stores are also convenient - the closest (walking distance for some) boasts a deli, an expresso bar, fine wines, fresh produce, & gourmet meats. Next door to that is 'The Sansei', advertised as Maui's best sushi restaurant. There are also two excellent spas nearby (the Ritz Carlton and the Montage Spa). The Tennis Garden, Golf Clinic, & unique hiking trails are available for any skill level. The energetic can enjoy a 5-mile beach trail below the villa or hike through the mountains of West Maui on a self-guided tour. Endulge in kitesurfing, paddleboarding, or relaxing on one of the white sand beaches. Kapalua Resort's zipline course is one of the country's largest with nearly 2 miles of parallel zipping action within the West Maui mountains.
Numerous fine restaurants minutes away. The Kapalua Resort Courtesy Shuttle provides free, door to door transportation to the entrance of three beaches and all Kapalua locations including restaurants, shops, the Kapalua spa, and the Ritz Carlton.
This spacious one-level home has been in our family for more than 25 years. In 2011 Richard & Joan (& families) purchased it from their Father's estate & began the extensive update/remodel of the entire unit.
