The owner's description and comments by recent renters are spot-on. The location could not be better, if you like the beach as well as reasonable proximity to local "attractions" and amenities. Literally 2-3 minute stroll from the front door to having your feet in the ocean at the beach. The rental property is precisely as advertised. This isn't an elegant rental, but it is superbly functional for a family or friendly group of 2-6 people. Not new, but in pretty good shape given the use it surely gets. There were some relatively minor "maintenance" issues, but nothing to cause any consternation. Nice pool. Plenty of towels. Washing machine and dryer on the premises. The second bathroom is a real plus if there are more than two person in your party. Sure, the traffic was congested at predictable times. But that comes with all popular destinations--Hawaii and elsewhere. Give yourself 30 minutes to get to a store or restaurant 5 miles away, and take it easy. We rented a car and in a week saw most of what we wanted to see on Oahu, plus made two trips a day to "our" local Lanikai beach. Snorkeled, kayaked, swam, ran on the beach, did just about everything we could imagine within walking distance--if you are willing to walk for a half hour for access to some concessions. Overall, this property was a great home base for our week in Hawaii. We would certainly return.

A Perfect Family Vacation Home
We loved staying in this house. It was the perfect little beach cottage for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the most beautiful beach on Oahu (literally a 1 minute walk) and the added bonus of the pool. The on-site manager was very friendly and gave us lots of suggestions for places to eat and visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Lanikai beach rental
There are two units available at this location. We stayed at the elevated beach house overlooking the pool for 12 days. Pros: Good sized swimming pool. Modern amenities in kitchen. Off street parking. (very important in Lanikai) Territorial views. Close to the Pillbox hike. Boogie boards & beach chairs came in handy. Easy walk to the beach. Cons: Traffic on the weekends. Electrical issues with kitchen appliances. If more than 3 electrical items were in on the kitchen side of the house the electricity would pop.(more of a wiring issue) But we learned to shut off stuff intermittently.

Live Like The Locals In Lanikai With A Pool And Cool Ocean Breeze.
This lovely home is perfect for families and those looking for a quiet, peaceful spot to spend their holiday. The space is located on the second floor and has 2 stories. This cozy home is a 2 bedroom 2 bath that sleeps 4 to 6 people. We have air conditioning in both rooms. One king size bed in the master bedroom, 1 queen size and 1 full size bed in the second room and a full size bed in the alcove on the second floor. A full kitchen, with a 4 burner stove, (toaster oven only) and outdoor BBQ with a outdoor bathroom and changing room. The upper outside lanai overlooks the swimming pool and has a partial ocean view. The beach is just a few steps away to the private beach access, about 50 yards total. Lanikai beach has been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world! We supply beach towels, boogie boards, and beach toys. Lounge chairs by the pool allow for a cool spot after a full day at the beach. We have very convenient carport parking for 1 to 2 vehicles included(directly under the unit). This is the perfect spot for families although we request that you keep an eye on small children around the pool area, no lifeguards on duty.
