Oceanfront Condo, Close to town, Watch Dolphins & whales

Home Description

Waves breaking below you and views of Kona Town across the bay.  Oceanfront living at Sea Village!

Welcome to my Sea Village home on the ocean. This beautiful, 1 bedroom condo is waiting for you to enjoy your island stay.  An amazing location with a ground floor entrance, no stairs to climb! Yet, on the other side, the ocean front lanai sits 20 feet above the sea wall!  A very special place to spend time.  Panoramic views out over the Pacific Ocean and across Kailua Bay to the village beyond.  Watch the maritime activities from para-sailing to dragon boats.  Spinner dolphins are regularly seen and in season...whales! Watch and listen to the waves splashing on the sea wall below. Be watchful during high surf, you could get wet!

When you decide it is time to go inside a very nice home awaits.  The living area is open and decorated in a tropical style.  While the sea breezes flow through the unit nicely, there also is a portable air conditioner when truly needed.  Of course, there is high speed internet, wifi and cable tv too. A full kitchen is well equipped for those who want to enjoy meals here.  The bedroom, keeping with the tropical theme has a king size bed for when you need to call it a night.

A very convenient location about 1 mile south of the village. Close to town yet seems miles away. It is a comfortable walk to and from that takes me 20-25 minutes.  The Kona Trolley is another option.  The trolley runs along Ali’i Drive from Keauhou in the south past Sea Village to the village and beyond.  I do recommend a car though.  Plenty of free parking for guests close to my front door and also in the village.  A car will let you get out farther to explore the island.  There is so much to see and do.

The Sea Village complex is a well-designed and maintained property.  It is set back from the main road protected from the traffic sights and sounds. All around are well maintained gardens and tropical plants.  It is designed around a common center area.  A very nice grassy area for families to enjoy. Picnic tables and gas grills to bring people together. A great place to share meals, watch beautiful sunsets and meet other guests as well as homeowners.  Just below that, at the oceans edge, is the pool and spa.

At the entrance to the complex is the Green Flash Cafe.  This tiny place is a great!  Of course, they have fresh Kona coffee. Also, tea, smoothies and milkshakes.  Breakfast items, paninis and fresh pastries......all wholesome and healthy.  This is a small place though and everything is made to order. Get some coffee and wait outdoors while your food is being prepared. Or, maybe phone in an order.

Kailua-Kona is a popular vacation destination on the west coast Of Hawaii, the big island.  Built around Kailua Bay, in 1812 became the home of King Kamehameha the Great. The village is usually very mellow with a small town feel although in October is the Ironman Triathalon World Championship!  If you plan on attending the event you must do it way in advance.

Throughout the year the area offers its visitors many things to do.  There are many shops along Ali'i Drive to visit, the monthly art fair to attend and farmers markets to buy local fruits and vegetables.  Many restaurants for all tastes, from fine dining to fast food.  Also search out some of the local hidden places!  Marine activities of all sorts: swimming, snorkeling, surfing, deep sea fishing, night diving with manta rays, para-sailing and more.  Land based activities such as tennis, golf, cycling, hiking, museums.  And for some....just relaxing......sitting on a lanai, beach or pub, watching the waves roll in as the sun sets over the ocean.

Much in the news recently is the Kilauea eruption.  The pictures and videos are very dramatic and scary.  I get many questions about this.  The area affected by the lava is about 10 to 15 square miles on the other side of the island.  Hawaii, The Big Island is over 4000 square miles. The recent eruptions have had almost no impact on Kailua-Kona nor most of the island.

If you are looking for Oceanfront Island Paradise, you have found it here!  The peacefulness of being on the Ocean at Sea Village, with great restaurants and shopping nearby will having you wanting to stay.

I am the owner and manage the property with my brother.  The photos are real and are of the condo you will be staying at if you reserve it. I get asked that question regularly. I have received many compliments and 5 star reviews from my guests.  My goal is to provide the best accommodations I can.

For the fun and safety of all please follow all pool rules.  They are clearly posted at the pool entrance.

Quiet time is from 10pm to 8am.

It is traditional to remove your shoes before entering a home.

Suitability

This property is suitable for most people.  Ground floor entrance with parking right outside.

It was better than the photos. Very beautiful view of the ocean

Loved sitting on the deck watching dolphins and boats. Very clean, quiet, and well located for everything going on in Kona. I will return and highly recommend it.

All we hoped for - and more.....

We were entirely pleased with our stay. We were surprised by the many thoughtful touches we found throughout the unit. Thank you!

Amazing

The view is breathtaking, condo very clean and updated. Air conditioned in addition to great ceiling fans. Lots of condiments and spices. Plenty of beach toys and coolers to use. The grounds, BBQ's and ocean front pool are great. Location right in the middle of Kailua Kona. Great sandy beach down the street. Super fast internet. Owner went above and beyond for us letting us have a late check out since we were taking the red eye flight. He gave us great info for local restaurants and farmers markets. Would go back in a heartbeat and definitely recommend to everyone.

Highly Recommended

Michael's place is exactly as described and more. The condo was very clean and had many extra unlisted amenities (condiments, extra towels, boogie boards, etc.) It is the perfect location between many beaches and adventurous spots we were able to find. The lanai is the perfect spot to relax and the pool was awesome. Tip for future guests- bring a suitcase of food as food is very expensive on the island and make use of the oven, toaster, fridge space, and barbecue. I highly recommend this condo and hope everyone shares the same incredible experience

A perfect spot

This is a perfect spot. absolutely gorgeous out on the lanai. Michael is wonderful and was very communicative. If you don't like the heat and need AC, this may be a bit warm for you. But, my mom and I absolutely LOVED IT!! Clean, well-stocked, great energy and the perfect place for a peaceful and wonderful vacation. :)

Exactly what we were looking for.

Michaels condo is exactly as described. The view is wonderful, and everything we needed for the beach was there. The location is great. A few minutes drive to downtown, you could walk it if you are motivated. There's also plenty of free parking at the complex. Check in was simple and there was no hassles during the stay. The pool at the complex is nice, there was usually other kids there, which was fun for my kids. Overall this was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation place, I'd definitely go back
