Home Description


  Hale Holokai is a newly remodeled six-bedroom home with a private pool located across from Ka'anapali Beach Resort on the island of Maui.  The house features two master suites and additional bedrooms to comfortably fit two to three families. The layout is ideal for families who want to vacation together and also explore all the beaches, activities and restaurants around Maui.  Ka'anapali Beach has been consistently rated the top beach in America by Condi Nast magazine.

About The Area

Located across from Whaler's Village and the popular Kaanapali Beach.  The house sits on the 15th hole of the Kaanapali Golf Course.

House Rules

1.      All guests must respect the property they are occupying.


2.     Quiet hours from 9:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. during which time you shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.  Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would typically be associated with a residential area.  Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries is prohibited.


3.     Check-in:  after 4:00 PM /  Check-out  10:00 AM sharp.


4.     No more than 12 guests are allowed at the property. No parties, weddings, events.  No group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur.


5.     A maximum of three (4) cars are allowed on premises.  Cars shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area (driveway only) and shall not be parked on the street.


6.      Maximum speed in and out of driveways are 5MPH


7.     The home is in a residential neighborhood with children present.  Please use caution when driving down the street and abide by the posted mph sign.


8.     Guests are aware the home is located on a golf course where errant golf balls may fly toward the house. Harris Hawaii Property Management, Visit Maui Beach and The Maui House owner are not responsible for damage or injury caused by golf balls.  Golf ball injury or damage is the responsibility of the golfer.


9.     Guests must not walk across or play on the golf course.


10.  All trash must be bagged in plastic bags and placed in the trash cans outside.  No littering.  Trash is picked up on the road on Tuesday mornings.  If your stay falls on a Monday/Tuesday, please drag trash cans to the street on Monday evening.


11.  When not in the house, please turn off all lights, ACs and fans.  Cost of electricity is very high here.


12.  After using the BBQ, please clean the grill and turn off the gas.


13.  Do not leave BBQ unattended.


14.  No smoking inside of the home, on the deck or pool area.  Designated smoking area is in the driveway.


15.  No moving furniture in or outside the house.  There will be a charge equal to the cleaning fee to move furniture back to original location.


16.  We ask you to keep screens shut and bugs outside.


17.  Shake all beach sand off of towels and clothes before entering the home. Sand is difficult to clean up and clogs the washer/dryer and vacuum. There will be an additional cleaning fee of $600 for excessive sand or excessive cleaning beyond our normal departure cleaning routine.


18.  Okay to hang towels on lanai or by pool to dry.


19.  Do not spray sunscreen inside of the home. It sticks to everything and becomes impossible to remove. There will be an additional cleaning fee charged to your credit card if it is discovered spray sunscreen was used inside the home.


20.  Your reservation comes with a $69 damage protection policy which covers up to $3,000 of accidental unintentional damage to the home. If you accidentally damage something, please do not be alarmed and do not be afraid to tell us.  Please let us know when the damage occurred so we can take photos upon your departure and file a claim with the insurance company. You will only be responsible to pay for damage over and above $3,000. Anything less than $3,000 we will handle with the insurance company and they will reimburse us for the cost of the repair or replacement, but please be courteous and let us know if something becomes damaged.


21.  If departing on early morning flight or arriving late at night, please be quiet for the next door neighbors. They are not on vacation.


22.  There are no lifeguards on the beach.  Babies and children shall not be left unattended by the ocean.  Please note that the shoreline area is the property of the people of Hawai’i, and is open for the free use by everyone.


23.  Do not leave children unattended by pool area and on deck.


24.  DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS.   Hawaii has one of the most enjoyable ecosystems on earth, and insects are a part of that system. We try to control this natural occurrence by regularly spraying for insects.  Naturally, it is a good idea to keep the doors closed while enjoying our islands and do not leave food on the counters, but that will not necessarily eliminate all occurrences of insects. 


25.  Departure instructions:  1) Load and start dishwasher, 2) Return clean dishes to the cabinets if your time permits,  3)  Turn off all lights, AC and fans, 4)  Bag up trash and put it in the cans in the driveway, 5) Shut and lock all windows, sliders and lock front door by pressing the Schlage button,  6) Depart the home by 10 AM.


26.  NO LIABILITY/INDEMNIFICATION/HOLD HARMLESS: The owners of the property do not assume liability for the loss, theft, damage or injury (or death) to persons or their personal property. Guests agree to indemnify and hold the owners harmless for any liabilities, theft, damage, cost or expense whatsoever arising from or related to any claim or litigation which may arise out of or in connection with Guests’ use and occupancy of the rental property, including but not limited to claims for personal injury or property damage/loss.

Fabulous Maui Home with Balcony

The listing description is more than accurate. This home is so large. I invited 5 women to stay in the home. We each had our own large rooms and privacy. The layout is fabulous and can easily handle multiple families because of the configuration. The yard area is fabulous. We spent a lot of time on the extra large balcony. It is in a fantastic location. The service provided prior to my arrival was amazing. So many beach towels, every kitchen item you can imagine, and we loved that everything was marked (light switches, faucets, etc. ) Loved the proximity to Whaler's Village and all the beach activities. The place was pristine clean. The perfect Maui vacation home!

Perfect location for a West Maui stay!

The location and property size was perfect for our stay. Although the beds outnumbered the people (due to last minute changes in plans), we loved having everyone in their own bed and room! Being located within a 10 minute walk to Whalers Village and the Ka’anapali beaches and walkway was perfect as we could all do our own thing without much need for a car. The layout of the home was ideal. The older kids had their own space downstairs with separate entry so that the rest of us (older folk :) ) upstairs could end the evening early. Kitchen size is ideal with a large eat in table with a similar size table on the lanai for a nice evening meal and sunset. Washer and dryer was a great thing to have too. TVs were in most rooms but some were not working which was no problem for us. Bathrooms and showers were outstanding in size and decor. The pictures were spot on! Loved the pool as well as the outside deck space. Will definitely be back to this home!

It was fabulous

This property was perfect for the 12 of us all family 10 adults and 2 young teens . We were all very comfortable in our sleeping arrangements and large bath room s the home is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool and patio and had plenty of room for everyone.

Beautiful place to stay for our whole family!

All eleven of us - including our 18-month-old grandson stayed here 6 nights and enjoyed this beautiful home, especially the spacious lanai!... Close enough to walk to the beach and a short drive to Lahaina! Kitchen had lots of space and table big enough for all to have our Easter dinner... Plates, cups etc. for kids were also available... Nice place!!

Great home for a large group or multi families

This home worked really well for the 11 of us that stayed here for 9 nights. The home was as described. Very clean, bright, spacious house with a well stocked kitchen (dishes and pots and pans), very comfortable beds, comfortable furniture, lots of towels and great showers! The deck over looking the golf course and pool was very comfortable and we could all sit outside to eat our meals. The location of this property was great too. Golfing, shopping, dinning and beaches all within walking distance or very short drives. Two of the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms are located on the lower level with a separate access. (That took us a minute to figure out but worked just fine). One of the other bedrooms is located up stairs and over looks the kitchen. That room was a bit warm but has several fans to keep it comfortable. In total there are 5 king beds, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, and a bunk bed which is a double bottom bunk with a twin on top - so you could sleep a few extra if they are kids. The bunks share space with one of the kings and the twin shares the space with the queen with no walls dividing them. Also, the rooms on the lower level are open to each other via a hall way. It would have worked better for us if there was a curtain or door so the other king room could have privacy as we were mostly adult couples. (That's the only improvement I would recommend in terms of the house ). The most convenient thing was having access to beach chairs and a cooler which made beach outings and trips to Costco very easy. We would definitely recommend this home (in fact, we have already!)
