Very well maintained home!
Had a wonderful time in this well equipped and maintened home. Set back a little from street so did not hear any of the traffic on the Kamehameha highway. Would definitely rent this place again during our next visit to Oahu!

Beautiful interior, thoughtful and well placed
My family enjoyed the house and would stay again. My parents live near Honolulu so it was the perfect getaway nestled between the Ko'olau mountains and the ocean. The furnishings and art was well placed, beautiful and functional. You can tell it was designed for people who actually live there and not just used to rent out. AC in every room was great. We spent a lot of time cooking in the nice sized kitchen. Also lounged on the lanai enjoying the breeze and talking story. It was perfect.

Beautiful House
It was my first trip to Hawaii with my family and wife's family. This house is just under Koolau Mountains, and the ocean just across the street. Using the kayaks, which are provided by owner, I could enjoy this beautiful scenery for my eyes only. Staying this house was so comfortable, too. The seven days passed so swiftly.

Beautiful house in a great location
We have stayed in many Hawaiian rental properties, but this was one of the best. The homeowners have gone above and beyond to make sure the house is exceptionally clean and well appointed; there were many thoughtful touches. The house is perfectly nestled between 2 other homes and sits back from the busy main road. Though it shares a gravel alley, it has its own driveway that can hold two cars. Despite being near 2 other homes, it is a private tropical oasis. We never saw any of the neighbors for the 10 days we were there. The wrap around porch was by far my favorite spot: the perfect place to sip coffee in the mornings, listening to the birds come to life as the sun rose. Inside, the house is comfortable and well planned. There is one bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed. Despite not having a/c, it was very cool and comfortable. Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms, both air conditioned. The master suite is huge, with a queen sized bed and sitting area. The closet was big enough to serve as a little "bedroom" for our toddler, and could fit a pack n play and fan. The bathroom has a wet room, with a separate stand up shower and tub. Perfect for families with little kids. We could get the whole family clean in one room! The other bedroom has two full sized beds, an on-suite bathroom and a view of the ocean from the beds. The closet is stocked with toys. This house clearly belongs to a family that love their little ones. We didn't have to rent any equipment. There are 2 pack n plays, a booster seat, books and games. In the back yard, there's a little shed that has snorkel equipment, bikes, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, water shoes--you name it! All the equipment was organized, clean and disinfected; supplies were also handy for us to return them in the same condition. The kids enjoyed playing soccer in the backyard, chasing geckos and watching the chicken families (we were greeted by 2 mother hens with baby chickens). And, for those that are concerned about island roosters: their crowing did not bother our sleep as the a/c sound drowned them out. There are several beaches nearby, a couple within walking distance, though walking with small kids is not advisable since the road is busy and has no sidewalk. Depending on the tides, the beaches were calm enough for our 2- and 6 year old. We were at a beach every day. Cons: the 4th "BR" is the den. Go to Guadalajara Grill. Mahalo to Robert for being such a kind "Aloha ambassador"!

If you are looking for the perfect Escape to Paradise - a beautiful home in just the right spot along the ocean in Oahu - This is it!
This secluded, air conditioned, tastefully furnished, 2500 SF Ka'a'awa home can sleep 6 to 8+ people in 3 bedrooms and a den. One lot from the water's edge and just a 2-minute walk to the local beach park, it is Hawaii as you imagined it - beautiful, lush, tropical, and quiet yet close to so many things. With the ocean in front and mountains in the back this is what Paradise in Hawaii is all about.
You'll have kayaks, boogey boards, 2 bikes and snorkel gear at your disposal. Go kayaking or snorkeling right in front of the house.
And when it comes to relaxing and unwinding you will have plenty of room inside and out with the beautiful, professionally landscaped yard. Stunning vistas and tropical plants surround you from every angle and window. And those double pane windows and the foliage surrounding the home ensure no road noise bothers you, unlike many other local ocean front properties. Open the upstairs windows and listen to surf break on the reef. Stretch out on the 400 sf covered lanai and let the ocean sounds lull you to sleep.
Located in the quiet and quaint (No Traffic!) village of Kaaawa on the Windward Coast which lies midway between Kaneohe and Laie (the start of the North Shore), you'll be just 2 minutes from Kaaawa Beach Park or Kahana Bay State Park, 5 minutes from Kualoa Ranch and Chinaman's Hat Island and 15 minutes from the world famous Polynesian Cultural Center. You can also go hiking in mountains behind Kaaawa, Crouching Lion and in Kahana Bay State Park. Experience Hawaiian living and customs at Kahana. See their Cultural Gardens and learn how Hawaiians survived and thrived from the Mountains to the Ocean Reef. Easy calm kayaking in Kahana Stream, one mile away, or in shallow ocean just across the street. No traffic...seriously...this can be a big issue along the North Shore
So if you are looking to have an authentic Hawaiian experience surrounded by ocean, mountains, jungle and beaches, Escape to Paradise is the place for you.
