Home Description

If you are looking for a house on an AMAZING beach, in the best stretch of coast in all the islands, you found it. The Vans Pipeline House is located in the heart of the world-famous North Shore on the sand of a beach that stretches miles in either direction. The North Shore is the quietest part of Oahu but is only minutes from great food, shopping and fantastic sites. The house overlooks the most famous surf break in the world, BANZAI PIPELINE. Still from the late spring until fall the waves are completely flat and the beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling or any other beach activity.

The house itself has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and an amazing upper deck that overlooks the ocean and the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen. The home was finished in 2011 so everything is new, clean, and modern. If you choose to stay with us you will be living in comfort on the most beautiful beach in Hawaii.

Great Experience

Beautiful house on a beautiful beach

Comfortable, spacious, great views.

Just returned from our trip and we had a great stay at this property with 7 adults and two kids (3 years and 10 months). We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets every night on the spacious patio and it's location on the North Shore is relatively quiet and secluded. The property itself is gated so that's nice as it's shut off from any traffic from the small street behind it. There now exists a similar house right next store which shares a yard and their patio is positioned right next to this houses patio, maybe 10 feet apart. While we were there a group was staying at the adjacent house for a part of the week. It wasn't a problem for us. There is a closet with a nice amount of "beach equipment" including some boogie boards, sand toys for kids, snorkels, and some water shoes. There is a shower in the yard by the beach which was nice to wash off before coming in the house. There was a bit of a learning curve with this property - at least for me. We had to figure out the gate code, the alarm code, how to work the TV's, AC controls, and the wireless internet (which seemed touch and go at times though reliable the vast majority of the time). The beach out front is amazing, while we were there apparently a swell had come in and we had some nice waves to play in despite the life guard warning us about the shorebreak. Waimea Bay just up the road was a bit calmer for the kids. There was a "pool" of water on the beach in front of the property. Apparently this is called Beaver Creek and is swimmable earlier in the year before it becomes stagnate and murkey, we were advised not to swim in it though doubt you would want to anyway, but from the patio it looks enticing before you get up close for a look. Those are sort of the main things you might want to know about which aren't evident from the listing. Overall we were extremely satisfied. The house is gorgeous, spacious, and in great condition. Lot's of kitchen appliances and each room has it's own dedicated AC making it possible for each guest to adjust their room temperature to suit them. Location is great. There's a grocery store right down the road and Crispy Grindz (food truck) is about a tenth of a mile down the street (they have Acai bowls), Teds Bakery is also nearby. Turtle Bay resort is up the street and a nice place to stop for a "fancy" dinner. Haleiwa with shopping and food is a less than 15 minutes, though the town seems to shut down at sunset for the most part (restaurants are open but shops close). Just book it.
