Perfect Lakeside Getaway on Peaceful Lake Sinclair. Minutes from Milledgeville!

Details

Home Description

Just 10 minutes from historic downtown Milledgeville, Georgia, our lake home sits at the end of a peaceful road on Lake Sinclair. The house is great for all ages. Kids will enjoy fishing, playing in the sand or jumping off the dock into the clean refreshing water. Teenagers and adults also like to fish, boat or water ski in the usually smooth calm waters in front of our home. In the early morning, as each new day arrives, sit on the porch or on the dock and enjoy a quiet sunrise and a cup of coffee. As evening approaches you may want to sip beverages and enjoy the solitude by the lake as the day slowly gives way to the evening. The daily singing of song birds fades and an orchestra of evening sounds fill the air. On a clear night, thousands of stars sit against the night sky likes diamonds on velvet. Enjoy star gazing, identifying the constellations, or waiting for the elusive falling star shoot across the night sky. Or, sit back, close your eyes and listen to the hoot of an owl across the lake or the sound of a fish jumping after an evening snack on the calm quite waters of this special place.

If bird watching is your fancy, keep your eyes to the sky as sometime a Bald Eagle will appear in the air or perching on the dead pine across the lake. During the nesting season, only a short boat ride away, there is a rookery of Great Blue Herons that is also home to Osprey, Geese, Kingfishers and an occasional Loon. Perfect for family gathering

We had 3 generations together to celebrate a milestone birthday and this house was perfect! We enjoyed the lake, porch, and both living areas. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and at mealtimes, there was plenty of seating between the dining room and outdoor table. Just lovely all the way around! House was well stocked with towels, sheets, etc. This was a vacation we will always remember! Home owner was very responsive when I had questions.

Great Family Vacation

My family of 7 children and 10 adults recently spent Labor Day week-end at this beautiful lake house. My grandchildren ranging in age from 4 years old to 13 years old enjoyed the bunk room and the downstairs living area. The adults enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs living area. We were able to prepare meals in the spacious kitchen and enjoyed dining on the deck and dining room area. The kids enjoy swimming off the dock and tubing. We also enjoyed the cove because of the privacy and it not being as busy as other areas of the lake. Lydia was very easy to deal with and answered questions timely. The lake house was very nice and clean. Just what we wanted for a wonderful family time vacation.

Great Family Lake Vacation

Our family group of 8 adults and 5 children spent the 4th of July week at this spacious lake house. The kids all slept in the bunk room and the each adult couple had their own bedroom. The owners were great in providing responses to our inquiries prior to our lake week and during our stay when we contacted them about a power outage due to a thunderstorm. The kitchen was large enough for meal preparation and was furnished with all we needed for preparing and serving food. The living/dining areas on the main level were spacious and comfortable. The large upper level deck overlooking the lake was enjoyed by all. The large dock accommodated the pontoon, paddle boards and kayaks that we rented and had lots of room for adults and children. The swimming area off the dock was large enough for our group to enjoy swimming and relaxing on floats. The children enjoyed fishing from the dock, and the youngest (7) caught a large catfish (about 2 lbs)! The cove where the house is located did not have a lot of boat traffic and was an ideal area for paddle boarding and kayaking. The cove was also ok for tubing, but the kids preferred the short ride larger parts of the lake for tubing. Overall, we recommend vacationing at this lake home, and we hope to return again.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

This was our first extended family vacation, and we couldn't have been happier with this lake house. We had a party of 14, and were very comfortable with sleeping arrangements and all accommodations. The two living areas were great for visiting with family, watching cartoons with the kids, or just relaxing. The deck offered a great view of the lake. We went fishing every morning and spent the majority of the day jumping off of the dock and tubing in the quiet cove. We were close enough to Milledgeville to run for errands, but far enough away to enjoy quiet nights on the deck. I would recommend this lake home for anyone looking for a well maintained getaway for relaxation.
