Five Ridge Bluff sits on a bluff above the Ellijay River on 120 acres of private, secluded woodland. A hiking trail leads from the cabin down to the river, through a native rhododendron forest, and circles back up to the cabin. Relax by the river, fish, or splash in the shallow rapids by the river. Of course, you can just stay at the cabin and relax in the hot tub on the covered porch and enjoy the view. Then enjoy smores by the campfire as you watch the sunset in the evening.
Five Ridge Bluff has three bedrooms, each with unique theme decor. The master bedroom, or 'Georgia Coast' bedroom, has a king bed, a sitting area, a large walk-in closet, and an ensuite bath with a jacuzzi tub and shower. The 'Western' bedroom has a queen bed, and the 'Georgia Country' bedroom has two twin beds. These two bedrooms share the downstairs bathroom.
The fully equipped kitchen opens into the living area and the outside covered porch which has a BBQ grill and a hottub. The living area has a HD TV, gas fireplace, large DVD collection, and books and board games to enjoy on a lazy, rainy afternoon. Everything is provided for your comfort -- linens, towels, paper goods, bath amenities, cleaning products including laundry and dish soap, coffee filters, and assorted spices in the kitchen. All you need to bring is your clothes and food!
There is also a private shooting range (only used by our rental guests) for target practice. Bring your own targets, but no hunting! We are careful to protect our native deer and wild turkeys that you will occassionally see.
In addition, the cabin has a generator so you will not be without power in case of a power outage. We are only about 1/4 mile away, and so readily available in case you run into a problem.
Five Ridge Bluff is located between Blue Ridge, about 10 miles to the north, and Ellijay, about 10 miles to the south. Blue Ridge is known as a center for the arts, and for the unique shops along Main Street. Don't miss visiting a most popular apple house -- Mercier's Orchards -- a few miles north of Blue Ridge. Ellijay is known for its Apple Festival in the Fall and its many antique shops. Our favorite is Black Bear Antiques in the Ingles shopping center. You'll find restaurants and shopping abundant in Blue Ridge and Ellijay.
For the outdoor enthusiast there is plenty to do -- waterfalls (abundant!), hiking, white water rafting, zip-lining, mountain bike trails, horseback riding, and much more. We keep brochures for the many area activities, as well as maps in the cabin. For even more entertainment, Atlanta is only about an hour an a half away.
Our guests are required to read and follow the house rules which are provided in a notebook in the cabin.
Five Ridge Bluff is a suitable getaway for everyone -- couples, family, children, young and old. Wheelchairs are welcome, but not recommeded because of tight spaces in some areas.
