Fantastic cabin with a great view!

Beautiful mountain retreat
The cabin is lovely, clean and more than adequately furnished with a gas grill and outdoor eating area, a kitchen that is well supplied, a beautiful gas fireplace, a great hot tub and even games for the kids and a bed and eating dishes for the dog! We found some bird seed and fill up the feeders and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the birds, enjoying the mountain view and cooler temperatures. We were looking for a place we could unwind and disconnect from our busy lives and this setting was perfect, however we saw where there is hiking and tubing available nearby. We loved it and will plan on returning!

This cabin exemplifies a peaceful and serene setting. This cozy mountain cabin getaway is conveniently located between Blue Ridge and Ellijay in Cherry Log, a private community with small lakes and hiking trails. This cabin is situated on 1.5 acres of wooded mountainside on a dead end road so there is no through traffic. Picture windows in the main living areas of the cabin provide spectacular views of the foliage all year. A short walk from the cabin you will find an access point to the Benton Mackeye trail. If you hike down the mountain you will find a covered bridge, a small lake, and a picnic area. Additionally this cabin features a flat driveway, 3 step entry, and all living space on the main floor.
Take advantage of shopping in the quaint towns of Blue Ridge and Ellijay, the apple capital of Georgia. Visit the Mercier Apple Farm in the fall and enjoy the great local peaches and produce available year-round. Catch the scenic train to Tennessee from Blue Ridge. You can also visit nearby state parks or the beautiful Aska Adventure Area. River rafting and tubing are available on the Toccoa River. Whitewater rafting is available nearby on the Ocoee River. We are close to Lake Blue Ridge and boat rentals. Enjoy the peace and quiet of mountain solitude; yet have easy accessibility to highways. This cabin is only 90 minutes from Atlanta.
There are 8 lakes in the Cherry Log Mountain community as well as numerous trails to hike. Enjoy sitting on the rocking chair porch and watching many different types of birds including pileated woodpeckers, tufted titmouse and more. This pet-friendly cabin is stocked with everything you need for your stay including games, books, and a well equipped kitchen.
