If you have a chance to visit Siesta Key you need to stay at Gumbo Limbo!!! In early March we stayed in the Hibiscus Suite and it was great!! We were on vacation for Spring Break with our two kids. The beach is literally 60 steps from the unit we rented. The owner of Gumbo Limbo provides beach chairs, umbrellas, buckets etc for your beach vacation. Siesta Village is just a short drive down the street where we enjoyed breakfast at Another Broken Egg and dinner at the Lobster Pot. Plus Siesta Key is the perfect location if you want to enjoy some Spring Training baseball as it situated on the west coast of Florida. You can make a short drive to Bradenton, Fort Myers, Sarasota and Tampa to watch any number of teams. I promise you will not find a cleaner property in the area. Oh it also has its own lagoon pool!! We have already booked a return trip for next year.

Fantastic place!
We stayed in the Honeymoon suite at Gumbo-Limbo! It was spotless & had everything you could possibly need. Virginia is so welcoming and you can always reach her. You really don't need a car! The beach is 1/2 block & the Village is also within walking distance. Virginia can help

Clean and Serene
My wife and I, both retirees in our 60s, loved Gumbo Limbo. Our biggest concern is that the places we choose to stay are clean and comfortable, with an emphasis on clean. Gumbo Limbo delivers on both counts. The carpet was clean, the bathrooms were spotless, and the bed was freshly made with clean linens. We both felt very comfortable staying in the Honeymoon Suite. (I guess you’re never too old!) The location is terrific. It’s only a half block to the beach. You can be there in minutes. We both really liked the private, almost secluded setting of the complex. Even though it’s a half block from a busy (but slow traffic street), the complex was quiet. It had a sort of Zen feel to it. We liked the two balconies that looked down into the garden and pool. With the exception of one night when some frisky young girls splashed around in the pool, the area was quiet and peaceful. The owner Virginia graciously allowed us to check in early because we flew in from the cold East Coast at an ungodly early hour, and had no place to go for hours. Virginia also met us at the condo, and was a delight to talk to. You get the feeling that she really cares and would correct any problem. She has a stockpile of beach chairs and umbrellas so you don’t have to rent the stuff. Very nice! Now the place isn’t cheap, but I imagine it’s sort of in line with the cost of other condos in similar situations. As for room tips, just know that some of the units, like

Wonderful vacation spot
I was recommended to Gumbo-Limbo by a friend. My husband and I had never been to the Siesta Keys, FL before. We rented a place that allowed our dogs. The Hide-Away was perfect. Not a far walk to a gorgeous beach and the property was beautifully laid out, complete with a salt water pool. The only recommendation I would have is they need an additional air conditioner in the bedroom as the one in the living room did not cool the room down to our satisfaction. However, dealing with Virginia, the owner was a pleasure and she was always available to answer any questions. I would highly recommend it to a couple, family or even bachelorette get togethers.

The pampering begins when you check into this 3 bedroom 2.5 baths beach townhouse with two king size beds and a queen size enchanting loft bedroom with it's own balcony and incredible Gulf / Beach views offers 1,850 Sq ft.
All 3 balconies have great Gulf Views, as well as all of the rooms that are facing the beach.
This townhouse is fully furnished and equipped including a washer & dryer, a dishwasher, a microwave and granite counter tops. Also, the Royal Palm Suite offers two flat screen TV's. The master bathroom is equipped with a Jacuzzi
Whirlpool bath tub which also has a Gulf view and an European bidet.
