Lovely experience of "Old Florida" in walking dist

Over the holidays, my family had a wonderful time in Joseph and Lesley's Blues Cottage and one of our sons had a wonderful stay in The Treehouse over the garage. Beautiful - clean - fully stocked - wonderful neighbors (J and L) - and walking distance to literally everywhere. There is a spacious patio/entertainment area off the back of the house. There is a wonderful glassed in porch in the front of the house. Personality/Personality and Location/Location!

An absolutely delightful stay !

We couldn't have made a better choice from the many places to stay in Sarasota. The Blues Cottage was very clean , well maintained and had that "Old Florida " charm. It is very close to many delightful destinations in and around Sarasota. Joseph was a wonderful host and helped make the stay quite enjoyable with his suggestions of eating establishments , music venues and general local knowledge. Many interesting destinations were so close and within comfortable walking distance. The beautiful beaches were just a few minutes drive away. We would certainly recommend the Blues Cottage, to anyone wanting that "Old Florida" experience in historic Laurel Park.

Wow! Great place!

Cherry Cottage is a perfect little cottage and in the best neighborhood(Laurel Park) in Sarasota. I can't say enough about the cozy cottage besides it was perfect. Easy 5-10 minute walk to downtown and to Burns Court, a fun neighborhood with restaurants, eclectic shops and a small movie theater. We walked to the water everyday around Bay Front Park and Marina Jack's. Joseph was the perfect host, right next door and always helpful with our questions. We've come to Sarasota the last 3 years for at least 6 weeks and out of 5 rentals, this is hands down the best. We'll be back!

Our best Homeaway experience yet. Perfect lodging,

Paradise! We stayed here over the holidays. My husband and I took the efficiency over the garage with a lovely view of the garden. No wonder they call it the tree house. It's a great escape and very quiet. The main room has French doors we kept open most of the time onto the deck. Big shower and glass block wall with cathedral ceilings. Very light and airy. Huge walk in closet. Comfy bed; adjustable mattress for each side. My son's family stayed in the blue house where we cooked most of the meals. We ate at the big table outside because the weather was great but there is a living/dining room and big TV area but we never used them. They had a romantic king bed and room that opened into the bathroom with a claw foot tub and glass block shower. The little ones had their own bedroom and bathroom. Cool kitchen with concrete counters, a farm sink and lots of art glass. Many thoughtful touches made the spaces really comfy. Lesley and Joseph were accessible and got us settled in. Thank goodness they were helpful with the kids and advice for places to go on the one day of rain we had during our stay. We've already booked for next year and hope to bring more family since there are 2 additional houses next door. All and all, a wonderful vacation.
