Historical Sarasota Cottages Meets Key West Cool ~ Meets Shabby Chic. Please check with us regarding availability for the dates you require. We have many different housing options. We have accommodations for couples all the way up to large groups of 20.
Each room of Turquoise Cottage has separate heat and air conditioning controls. We have upgraded our WiFi to a state-of the-art Mesh system throughout. Off street parking for one car and plenty of safe on street parking.
Nestled away among the palms, mangoes and jacaranda trees in the Historic District, our Cottages are surprisingly accessible to the attractions waiting for you in beautiful Downtown Sarasota, all within easy walking distance. Fine and casual dining options abound; art galleries, boutiques, salons, the botanical gardens, consignment / thrift stores and the bay are all just an easy stroll away, as are bike trails and kayaking.
The traditional layout of the Cottages gives our guests an authentic Florida experience in this unique and friendly, laid back neighborhood. Throughout there are contributions of local artists with wall colors to highlight their work.
In Turquoise Cottage, a refurbished 1926 3BR/2BA two floor home, the house-wide entry screened in porch faces South and gets delightful sunshine all day and beautiful sunsets. With table and chairs on the porch, this is an idyllic space to set up your gear and take advantage of the WiFi. The side yard is beautifully landscaped where you'll find another dining table, chairs and chaise lounges. The grounds include off street parking.
The living room includes a table adjacent to the pass-through into the kitchen. A comfy couch and chairs allow for lolling in front of the 42" 4K flat screen TV for movies or listening to music. You'll find a new complete kitchen with stainless gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher which are blended with an antique Hoosier cabinet and pieces from Sarasota’s colorful past. Beach chairs are on the front porch.
On the first floor are two bedrooms with closets, a sparkly new art deco full bathroom with tub/shower. The main bedroom also faces south and has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a trundle day bed which can convert to two twin beds or a king.
The second floor, a large open area with peaked roof, overlooks the trees. It's amply sized with good quality furniture and a KING size bed which easily converts to two twin beds. The other end of the floor contains a seating area and a half bath with an extra shower room downstairs. The quoted rates are for the downstairs two bedrooms only. The rate is higher to rent the entire house.
Please inquire with your preferred dates and we'll do our best to accommodate your group. Due to the City of Sarasota Zoning Code, we are NOT able to rent for periods shorter than seven (7) days, nor rent to more than four (4) unrelated persons
We take NO-SMOKING very seriously. Smoking in the Cottages or anywhere on the premises will result in loss of damage deposit. If you smoke and cannot abide by our policy, please find another place to stay. Thank you.
