Beach Access to the West:
Walton Dunes - Walton Dunes is about 2 miles to the west at the end of Beachfront Trail. This is a Walton County beach access with parking and short distance to the beach.
Deer Lake State Park - Deer Lake is the closest beach access to Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a very small pay parking area with bathroom access. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara - Santa Clara access is also a Walton County beach access near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. This is one of the scheduled stops for the Prominence shuttle. Bathrooms and parking are available at the Santa Clara access. Remember if you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Beach Access to the East:
Sea Breeze - Sea Breeze is a Walton County beach access that is just past the Gulf Lakes access. Parking and bathrooms are not available at this access, however, there is a shower to wash off if needed.
Gulf Lakes - Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about .5 miles to the east of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed if you don’t pay attention. Parking is not available, but makes for a great bike ride to the beach.
