I am going to make this short and simple. I will never stay in this rental again unless the price dropped at least $1300 less per week than it is now. Needs lots of work and whoever is paid to clean and maintain the place did the worst job I’ve seen to date in a rental in 13 years. P.S. the dryer will actually dry your clothes somewhat if you take the vent hose off and the dryer apart to clean the years worth of lint out of it.

Emerald Hill Surprise
Unknown to us, they were changing the roof the entire time we stayed, 10 days. we had problems parking,the roofing was all over the place,even on our beach front patio.and sometimes pieces on my vehicle.we have always enjoyed emerald hill in the past. We are just very disappointed that we were not told in advance about it because our vacation days were flexible and we would have booked different dates. i think it would be fair if we were reimbursed for part of our stay.

Emerald Hill 12A Review, June 2020
We had an enjoyable stay in Seagrove, but had some disappointments with the unit. The complex itself was very nice and well-maintained; nice pool area, well-landscaped, etc. The 12A unit however, needs a MAJOR overhaul. The unit smelled terrible for the first 2-3 days (moldy, musty, maybe even smoky), but improved after the management directed us to air it out by keeping the sliding doors open for a couple days. Also, the unit needs a thorough deep cleaning, very visible dust and dirt along baseboards and trim, in corners, on louvred doors, etc. Furhter, the kitchen and bathroom fixtures are terribly outdated and quite worn, including bathroom cabinets that have been duct taped back together. Beyond that, the furniture is FILTHY. We had to put a bed throw over one sofa just to feel comfortable using it due to smudges and worn, dirty areas, and the kitchen table and chairs each had food smeared and dried on them, so we did not use those at all. Additionally, the bed skirts have visible mildew growing on them. These issues are NOT visible from the pictures, so the condition was quite unexpected. We have stayed at several units up and down 30A at very similar price points and this one was not up to par. In fact, for the price we paid we would expect a much better condition than what we found here. Although, we liked the complex and location we would not stay in this unit again and would not recommend it to others either. As this is not a discount property, in the end, we paid for a much better product than what we received.

EH 12A
We had a good vacation staying in this unit. the 2 queen beds were very useful for us. It is really nice to be able to walk out your door and stand looking at the ocean and beach. The condo has an updated kitchen, but needs some updates in the bathroom. It isn't fancy, but provides relaxation looking at the ocean at a more affordable price.

Emerald Hill 12A
Pros- the property was in a perfect location, direct access to the beach, views etc..Cons-was very disappointed in how dirty the property was. The furniture was dirty, put sheets over the couches, chairs so we could sit down. It really needs to be cleaned from top to bottom.

Emerald Hill
Great location and nice condo. I was very disappointed that 90% of our beach front was taken up by private umbrella and chair rentals. There were only about four condo's that had their beachfront crowded with them, one of which was at Emerald Hill's beach.This is the first time I have seen it this bad in the last 10 or so years we have stayed there. I will probably go somewhere else next year.

Emerald Hill 12A is my favorite of all the one bedrooms in the complex. We had a wonderful week and couldn't have asked for a better view! Thank you for the hospitality and for a great vacation! We'll be back!

Just Right
This unit was just what we needed. The beds were so comfortable and we were not cramped. Kitchen was great, had plenty of cookware, dishes etc. The view and access to the beach were perfect. We would stay here again.

Amazing Beach Access
This was a fantastic beach rental. It was very clean (I am picky). The kitchen is well-stocked with essential tools. The view out the sliding glass doors and from the patio sitting area is perfect, and the beach access (walk out the sliding doors and down the steps and you have arrived at the ocean!) cannot be beat. We walked approx 1.3 miles up the beach to the shopping/eating area to get shaved ice and then walked back along the paved path by the road to return to the condo. I really want to come back to this exact unit in the future! I wish I had known to bring toilet paper and dish soap. Maybe it said in the email, but I didn't read anything about that till I arrived. They provide some starter supplies and ask you to bring extras. And there was no dish soap (to wash things by hand). All other supplies were fine for our stay. (1 roll of paper towels,1 roll of toilet paper, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 trash bags) Bring regular coffee filters - although we made our cone filters work.

Very Disappointing!
We had family emergencies before our trip which pushed our arrival time back. We were refunded our 1st week by the owner. However, we paid for our 2nd week and when we told them we were coming 3 days late they said they had given our unit to someone else! The person we talked to was VERY RUDE!!! We did get a unit in another building. It was not up to the standards of the other unit. It wasn't very clean! Our experience with Seagrove on the Beach property rentals was NOT a PLEASANT ONE!!! The person who notified us each time our unit changed was VERY RUDE!!! Needless to say we will NOT RENT FROM THEM AGAIN even though we like the location of their units. One person was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Beautiful Beach View!
We enjoyed our stay.We would suggest that better blinds be installed in the bedroom. Light from the passage-way outside was so bright at night that I slept on the couch.Also bringing in our luggage, etc. and having to walk down those stairs was not easy for us seniors! We might choose a different place next time just because of that. The kitchen was very well equipped and the patio was wonderful.

Mixed bag
So. We always enjoy our stays anywhere along 30A, and this one was no exception. But. We will not stay at this property again. It was filthy. Not everywhere and not in a way that made us leave, but the unit needs a SERIOUS deep clean. Not in a once a year way, but in a once every decade.....The surfaces of the unit were clean, but the hidden corners, the doors, the baseboards, the REFIGERATOR, so many places. We have stayed at dozens of different places in the past 25 years or so. And we have stayed at all different times of the year - late summer, fall, winter, late spring,etc. So I did not at all buy the manager's excuse that this was the end of the summer season, so the place just needed its annual deep clean. Parts of this unit obviously had not been deep cleaned in years and years. Upon check-in, for the first time ever, I called a manager to complain about the unit's cleanliness. He offered to have the housekeeper come back, which she did. But that wasn't really what the unit needed....a half-hour of dusting, etc., could not fix the problem. On the good side, the unit is decently furnished, the beds were comfortable, it IS beach front, and it met our needs. But every single appliance needs to be replaced, starting with the extremely rusty refrigerator, the microwave, the ancient washer/dryer unit, the bathtub/shower unit. Oh well. I hesitated to write this but decided another renter might benefit. Not sure who owns this unit (although I suspect it may be the management company ?), but if an individual owns it, I cannot imagine that they could be satisfied with the unit's condition. We MAY be back at Emerald Hill, but at 12A.

We stayed at Emerald Hill in Unit 12A. It was wonderful week. The condo was perfect and in a perfect place. We have stayed in Seagrove several times but this was the best place.

FALL VACA
We had the absolute best time. The condo was Wonderful , exactly what we were looking for. Very clean, came with everything we needed , beach front and close to everything!! Because of the location we went to several different areas for shopping and different restaurants. We totally plan on staying here whenever we want to do a beach trip. I would recommend this to anyone. Couples, kids even older or handicapp cause of the access to the beach and parking lot. The only thing that I would say was they need to look at the dryer. Not heating well and we were having so much fun i never called...
