We stayed in july 2017. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 6) from France. Everything you need is there : the house is well equiped, clean and working. Nice pool and good location. The neighborhood is very quiet. We enjoyed kayaking on the canal and see the birds and the fishes jumping. Brad was very nice, easy to speak with. This rental property and this owner are worth the 5 stars !

Wonderful place to stay.
Our stay was for 11 days and we really enjoyed staying at this house. It was clean and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool and watching the fish jump in the canal. Brad and Marilyn are wonderful. Can't wait to return and visit with them.

A little bit about the house, its three bedrooms with 2.5 baths located on the Spring Lake waterway. The property has a nice backyard with an in-ground swimming pool enclosed in a screened pool cage. It’s just a short boat ride out into Charlotte Harbor. Redfish, Snook, Cobia, Spotted Trout, Tarpon and Shark are just a few of the great game fish in the waterway and harbor. Before exiting into the harbor the waterway opens up into Spring Lake and then meanders through a mangrove lined channel. The sheltered waters are great for Kayaking. Alligators, Manatee, Osprey and Eagles are often seen along the waterway. Numerous guides are available for both inshore and fishing the reefs or trolling offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Party or head boats also provide closer-in reef fishing at a very reasonable cost. If you would like to bring your own boat, a public launch is just a short distance.
We are located 1.75 hours south of Tampa airport (TPA), 3 hours from Orlando or Miami, 30 minutes to Fort Myers and within 30 to 45 minutes of great beaches in Englewood and Boca Grande. All the major department stores, groceries, restaurants, theaters as well as the local shops are within a short 15 minute drive.
The house is fully furnished. As I said the house has three bedrooms. The master has a king bed with a 21” TV with a full bath. The second bedroom has a full size bed with an attached half bath. The third bedroom has a queen bed with a full bath across the hall. The living room has a sofa/hide-a-bed. There is also a family room with sliding glass doors opening to the lanai and pool. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with dinnerware for eight and a built-in dishwasher. Microwave, coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, blender, etc. are there for your use. A lanai with an outdoor dining area and gas grill is in the back next to the pool. Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers are for there for your use. The pool is solar heated and is from 3’ to 6’ deep. Basic cable and high speed internet is provided, There is also a library of close to 100 adult and children DVD’s. There is an ample supply of linens and towels but there is a washer/dryer should you need to do laundry.
In addition, I have a 12' aluminum row boat for your use at a small additional weekly charge (free use for reservations longer than 2 weeks)
