Everything you need to occupy your time is here – right at your fingertips.

As it has been said: “A picture is worth a thousand words” so what follows is a brief description of the house and property in the form of a quick read so you can spend more time on the pics and contacting us! The theme of what we did here is LIFESTYLE…..get away …..relax…. & have a little FUN! We live in Southern California – but come here to really kick-back and enjoy a tropical lifestyle, beautiful ocean, and nearby islands in a truly great climate.

Living room – high ceiling, very open and perfect for entertaining or lounging around and watching the latest DVDs or satellite TV. Large bar for entertaining yourself and your guests. Dining room and kitchen speak for themselves – just look at the pictures and check out the wine cooler, large refrigerator, stove, micro, high ceilings and huge windows and French doors overlooking the pool, new 80’ dock, boat and - across the WIDE CHANNEL – the boat dealer’s stunning selection of multi-million dollar yachts (no houses or neighbors in sight!)

Interesting authentic movie memorabilia helps decorate the house and give guests something to enjoy and talk about (if interested) and the office has computer, wireless high speed internet, etc. if you feel the urge to stay in touch.

4 bedrooms accommodate 8: Master – King size with bath, large sitting room & French doors leading to pool and beyond. Executive guest with Queen bed, sitting area, large closet, and French doors leading to the pool. Twin beds in #3 and bunk beds for the kids in #4. The large living room sofa also makes into a bed if needed. Bathroom #2 has a convenient outside door…….leading to the pool, which is 7’ deep with spa and water feature.

After you go out of any of the above mentioned doors you find yourself in paradise – day or night. Pool, spa, ample deck and dining furniture, large grill, and authentic Tiki bar (just like in the islands) for enjoying those tropical drinks are yours in a setting most people fly to those islands to experience. Great fun – you won’t even need to close your eyes and use your imagination to feel the warm ocean breeze and hear it rustle through palm trees……….just look around and take it all in – over & over.

Walk over to the new 8’ wide dock and relax – check out the 58’ Express Yacht that is ready for charter day cruise on the Intracoastal or beyond, or some of the water toys that can be available upon request (additional arrangements for this stuff can be made in advance, depending upon availability.)

Recently we completely remodeled/upgraded the house – keeping a little of the 60’s “retro” feel just for fun. Nearly all of the furniture, amenities, utensils etc. etc. are new so no “funky stuff” can be found.

This is our personal “getaway” so we enjoy having our children & grandkids come to play here and will delight in sharing it with you if you’re really ready to go for it! Now check out those pictures again………….

Area Information

Santa Barbara Island is one of South Florida’s most desirable waterfront communities located in Pompano Beach, a beautiful ocean community north of Fort Lauderdale which spans over 28 miles of white sandy beach and crystal blue ocean. Nearly every desirable South Florida Gold Coast activity you can imagine is just minutes away from your front door and all are conveniently located near international airports in Ft Lauderdale (15 mi.), Miami (37 mi.), and West Palm Beach (36 mi.), as well as Pompano Beach Executive Air Park (3.7 mi.) for private and charter jets as well as all private aviation needs.

As you would expect, there is incredible shopping from ultra upscale Las Olas Blvd. to quaint beachfront shops as well as all major retailers and shopping centers. First class dining is available at an incredible selection of over 3,500 restaurants ranging from 5 Star rated to trendy waterfront cafés and party time sports bars.
You might elect to enjoy a leisurely Water Taxi cruise along Fort Lauderdale’s world famous waterways which have earned the city the nickname “The Venice of America.” Hit the beach, shop and dine on spectacular Las Olas Blvd, and visit the cruise ships at Port Everglades. The Water Taxi's crew will happily help you plan your day as you travel past many interesting sites from mansions to mega yachts. Your ticket allows unlimited boarding from any of the 13 stops throughout Fort Lauderdale! Private charters are available or take the shuttle to South Beach and experience the art deco charm of Ocean Drive’s boardwalk cafes, the upscale boutiques of the Lincoln Road Mall, and soak up the sun while people watching on one of the world’s best beaches.

Many choose to check out the Jungle Queen, a huge paddle wheel riverboat for a ride up New River through the center of Ft. Lauderdale to their private tropical isle. The captain’s commentary is both informative & humorous as you cruise past interesting sights and beautiful homes. Take in the hilarious variety show, dinner and then relax & enjoy the beautiful moonlit cruise back.

Naturally, you can snorkel, scuba drive, or experience the delight of exploring the vast coral reel only a few hundred years off the beach. Within minutes, there is deep sea fishing, golf, horseracing, Jai alai, and casinos. While the famous Las Olas Blvd, is only a short drive away, fashionable Boca Raton is only 20 minutes to the North, also offering 1st class restaurants & nightlife for entertainment.
