Minimum StayThe Villa was nice but there were lots of large ants all over the house along baseboards, in the front hall and kitchen. There were tiny little ants called sugar ants crawling around on the master bath counter and one morning there were hundreds of them in the bathtub. Noticed bugs scurrying around on the kitchen counter and hiding after tuning on lights. We discovered after an internet search that they were cockroaches. Inspected beds before using them and things seemed OK until about 1 week later when our daughter woke up one morning with red painful bite marks. We pulled her bed apart and re-inspected the mattress and box spring and discovered bed bugs. We contacted the rental owners and the mattress and box spring were removed and the room not used. We ended up having to stay up till 3 am washing all our clothing and all bedding then had to throw out 2 suitcases and two bags that were in the room. We had to put all our cloths and all bedsheets etc in the dyer on high for 2 hours just in case before we could use them. It was about 12 loads which took a few evenings to complete and some clothing was ruined by the heat. The evening before our flight home we stayed up until 2:00 am rewashing all our cloths to ensure we did not take any visitors home with us. The following morning we had to get up at 5:45 to get ready to go to discovery cove for the day, which was ruined as we were all exhausted. Made the $1200 we spent for the day seem like a waste as we did not enjoy the day as much as we should have. Once the bed bugs became an issue the ants and cockroaches did not receive any attention and were still a problem. The last week of our once in a lifetime two week holiday that we saved for was a bust and ruined due to the stress of our daughter being covered with about 80 be bug bites all over her body including her face and having to do our day to day trips to Disney, Sea World and such while tired from cleaning. The owners were truly apologetic and did call exterminators and the management company did clean and inspect the villa top to bottom after we called about the bedbugs but the damage to our vacation had been done and we just wanted to go home at that point.
