The family really enjoyed our stay at Gulf Dreams on the Beach. The house was beautiful and offered so much privacy and seclusion that you felt like you were on your own private island. The beach was beautiful and we loved seeing the dolphins, manatee and tortoise. The house managers, Jane and Jeff were very helpful and informative and wonderful to deal with.

Rest And Relaxation At Its Finest!
We absolutely loved our stay at Gulf Dreams On-The-Beach! Your home and island far surpassed our expectations in so many ways. Everything went so smoothly the 10 days we were on the island. From arrival to departure, no detail was missed. The house was magnificent! Plenty of space for our party of 8 to spread out and relax. My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay on the top floor in the master suite. Wow! What a way to wake up in the mornings. The views were amazing and the bathroom was fabulous!! For that matter, the whole house had wonderful views from the multitude of windows and decks. You truly have thought of everything a renter might need or want. From the golf carts, bikes, kayaks, pool toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach toys, life jackets, boogie boards, etc. Everything was put to good use. The pool was so refreshing after a day out on the boat or in the ocean. We loved all the beautiful, lush landscaping that surrounded the pool and the shade it provided us. We rented a boat from Four Winds Marina for the week and they were wonderful to work with. It was handy having a boat dock so close to the house. Our kids loved watching the manatees at your boat dock.They were very playful in the mornings. You also provided us with such DETAILED information before our trip. We definitely took advantage of all the restaurant suggestions and the maps were very helpful. We visited several islands during our stay and the men in our group loved taking the boat out fishing. Our favorite restaurant off North Captiva was the Tarpon Lodge. Great atmosphere and excellent food. On North Captiva, we spent lots of evenings at Mangos. Everyone on the island was so helpful and friendly. I would also like to add that Jeff and Jane did a fantastic job of meeting any need we may have had during our stay. Jeff was at the dock at arrival to help with the luggage and get us settled in and Jane helped with our departure. My brother-in-law developed a bad ear infection midway through our stay and went to a medical clinic while we were exploring the island of Boca Grande. When a prescription was called into the wrong pharmacy, Jane went out of her way to go pick it up for him in Cape Coral. This is just one example of the care and dedication Jeff and Jane showed to us as guests. You are very blessed to have them as caretakers!! We hope to return again someday and couldn't imagine staying anywhere other than your beautiful home! Thanks again!

Beautiful property!
I've never rented a house before, and this trip exceeded my expectations. We rented the house with my sister's family and my dad. The house comfortably fits 12 people and we never felt "on top of each other." We loved being on an island -- very relaxing - and enjoyed the beach and pool every day. We spent most of or time on the 3rd floor - cooking in the kitchen, eating meals, kids having downtime watching TV. There were plenty of sitting areas. We also spent a lot of time on the screened in porch - enjoying the view of the beach while we ate. We kayaked a lot - mostly to the sandbar where every day we found new shells and sand dollars deposited by the tide. We also went to the beach every night where we were lucky enough to see the international space station and a meteor shower on 7/27. We enjoying seeing dolphins, ghost crabs, sting rays, jumping fish, and a newly hatched sea turtle. The house had everything we needed -- a fully stocked kitchen, laundry, tons of beach towels. We went out to eat one night at Over the Water and really enjoyed the experience (especially the server feeding the catfish the leftovers which we saw when we left!). The property manager, Jane, was great at answering questions and addressing any needs while we were there. My only advice for those going is to plan food carefully because there are no grocery stores on the island. We got our food through Publix, but that was more expensive than I thought it would be. Someone on the island told me about the SHIPT app where you can order your food online and have it delivered to Island Girl Charters at the time of your boat taxi. Apparently, this was WAY CHEAPER. I've never tried it but am planning to try it out in the future! We had a great vacation with great memories. Several of my coworkers were "WOWED" with this property and may take a trip here in the future! Lastly, I will say that the owners were easy to work with and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that we had a great time.

Great place to get away from it all.
Our family really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the island. The property is private and the home is beautiful inside. We found lots of shells on the beach and the kayaks were a lot of fun.

Wonderful, Amazing, Fun and Very Relaxing
"We had the best time ever. Thanks so much for a wonderful place to make so many great family Memories!" Everything about Gulf Dreams was wonderful. Our family reunion was a great success. We loved the beach access and spent everyday shelling, building sand castles and fishing. This vacation at Gulf Dreams was the best time ever according to all the kids in our group. When asked what was there favorite part of our vacation they all said "Everything". They loved the pool too! The adults had a wonderful time as well. Plenty of places to hang out, inside and out. Sunny or shady, quiet places to steal away and read a book or do yoga. Walking on the beach, kayaking and shelling on the sandbar were big favorites. Wonderful views and awesome sunsets. Everyone enjoyed themselves and there was plenty of space to spread out and yet wonderful gathering places for the evenings spent together, playing games, watching the Olympics and just hanging out together. Oh and the seafood and fish fresh caught by ourselves and then cooked up was marvelous! We greatly enjoyed the experience and would love to stay again!

Excellent accommodating 4 Story Home with easy access to a gorgeous beach and to a nice pier!
If you enjoy nature and wonderful accommodations, then Gulf Dreams on the Beach is for You. At the beach next to this home, I saw dolphins cruising by every day, and observed Osprey parents taking care of their baby on the rooftop of a neighboring house. The pool was relaxing, and with the kayaks provided by the owners, my family paddled a short distance to sandbars/islands off the coast where we found huge conch shells! The owners gave me detailed information about what to do on North Captiva, which was very helpful, and the 2 golf carts they provided allowed me to quickly access restaurants and boat rental shops. Beautiful Property with Prime Location!
We had a wonderful time at Gulf Dreams and in North Captiva! Our extended family of 4 couples (20's, 30's, 60's and 80's) and a 1 and 4 yr.-old all enjoyed our time together here. The house and grounds were beautiful and the landscaping provided a very secluded feel. There was no damage that we noticed anywhere on the island from the hurricane in the fall. The owners, Stewart and Lucy, were very diligent and gracious in answering all of our questions and providing much information about things to do, even sending us a personal tide chart with shelling information for the time of our stay. The caretakers were great and very prompt in responding to the few issues that needed attention. One of the best features was the ability to walk straight out the door to a short boardwalk to the beach. We loved the shelling right on the beach and on the sandbar. We also used the kayaks, golf carts and fat tire bikes frequently. The state park trails, beaches, shelling, etc. were another big plus.

Island Retreat
Gulf of of dreams was the perfect fit for our family of 10, ages 2 to 82. All 4 stories of this beautiful beach front house showed a level of thought and detail that was unexpected. The vaulted ceilings and open floor plan provided the perfect setting for a week long family vacation.

Amazing
We stayed at gulf dreams with our children and grandchildren. A week was not enough. What a beautiful place. Everything we needed and more. The house and pool were both big hits. Kayaking to the island to search for shells in the early morning was awesome. Ending the day with a swim in the warm pool after enjoying the sunset from beach or roof top deck was perfect. Thank you to everyone who prepared/cleaned the house for us it was immaculate.

As billed and then some....exquisite
The 12 members of our family including 5 young children loved spending time at your house. There was every conceivable thing needed for a great time at the pool and beach. All the little life jackets gave the adults peace of mind and the sand toys kept them occupied the whole time on the beach, when they weren't collecting shells or searching for turtles or crabs. Everyone loved going out to the sand bar in the kayaks. The seven and nine-year olds were thrilled at being able to take out their own kayaks. We especially appreciated how well equiped the kitchen was - my family loves to cook! This was a perfect way to celebrate my 70th birthday. Hope we'll be able to come again - before I turn 80!!! P.S. We were so lucky to have a beautiful sunset every night

Gulf Dreams on the beach
This was a first class experience from start to finish. The care takers were waiting for us at the dock, escorted us and our luggage/groceries to the home and thoroughly explained the property. They also escorted us back to the dock for departure. They were very professional and helpful. The property was outstanding. The home is beautiful and well stocked with essential supplies for cooking and cleaning as well as indoor activities including ping pong. The location is quiet and designed for privacy. Five couples of old friends gathered for a week and we were all very comfortable with our rooms and individual bathrooms as well as general gathering areas with ample seating for meals. The laundry was near new, large capacity with plenty of supplies. The kitchen/grill were all top grade with 3 refrigerators and plenty of ice. The pool was warm and well maintained throughout our stay. The property has a short boardwalk leading to a nice sandy beach. Chairs, volleyball equipment and other items were all provided. We had a great time!

Family Vacation At Gulf Dreams

Spacious beach house with many amenities for all ages!
We spent Memorial Day week with our entire family and lots of kiddos (ages 20 months-8 years) at Gulf Dreams, and even with the threat of inclement weather due to Tropical Storm Alberto our visit was absolutely memorable and a true blessing! Thank you Stewart and Lucy for your beautiful home and to Jane and Jeff for greeting us. This was our second time staying on North Captiva and it was unique for us since we were able to bring our personal boat from Fort Myers Beach thanks to availability of the Gulf Dreams boat slip. Stewart provided us with a wealth of information about boating the waters around the island! We loved our lunch trip to Cabbage Key! We would have boated more had it not been for the storm:( The beach at Gulf Dreams is amazing…we visit the house we stayed at two years ago on the northern end of the island and their beach is gone! The shelling at Gulf Dreams was abundant on the peninsula especially with the high seas from the storm. Our kids gathered many, many shells and made many shell necklaces. We would love to visit again someday!

Wonderful Vacation
We had 5 couples in their 60s and 70s, what a great house to have a vacation. It has a lot of space, wonderful pool area surrounded by foliage, so you are in your own resort. The bedroom are large and each had a bathroom, which I group wants. The kitchen had everything you will need for a small or large meal. Eating all the meal on the porch while looking at the water was relaxing. The beach is great, the sandbar attached to the beach was full of shells and a nice place to take a walk. We used the bikes and kayaks, had a fun time. My wife said this is her second best vacation next to Hawaii for two weeks Thank you for a wonderful house with everything we needed.

Great Family Getaway!
We had an amazing experience and can't say enough about the house! It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Jane and Jeff were very responsive and helpful with any of our needs during our stay. We were a large party of 13, which included six adults and seven children (6 yrs and younger) and there was plenty of space for all of us. We're already planning our next trip back!

This breathtaking location is remote and very peaceful to any vacationer.

Gulf Dreams Paradise
Our family of 14 just stayed here to celebrate my husband’s and my 50 th anniversary. It was AMAZING! The home is so beautiful! So many windows provide views of the ocean and beautifully landscaped back yard. Even after the hurricane, the foliage was wonderful. The owners thought of everything- kayaks and paddle boards that the kids loved, games, cabanas and beach chairs, the most well stocked kitchen we ever had and so much more! Any little glitches we’re quickly handled by Ally. We would highly recommend this home and would love to return to it!

The video shows the location of Gulf Dreams on the beach via our private white PVC walkway. There no roads or other property ownership between Gulf Dreams and the beach. Gulf Dreams west property line is the Gulf of Mexico. It shows the location of our heated pool and gazebo. It also shows our private dock 1/4 mile east of Gulf Dreams. The portion of the video that covers the interior of Gulf Dreams has not been upgraded for our 2016 remodel. Our 24 pictures have been upgraded and do show the remodeled bedrooms 4 and 5. All bedrooms now have en-suite bathrooms. Also make sure you look at our reviews. The remodel was completed for our guests at Gulf Dreams by Thanksgiving, 2016. Gulf Dreams on-the beach has been completely renovated, inside and out, beginning in June 2011 and completed in June of 2014. A recent renovation added a bathroom on second floor and a totally renovated first floor poolside bedroom and bath. Guests will find it to be extremely well-equipped and furnished with high-end finishes and fixtures.
