Our home has vintage louvered windows that let light and breeze in every room. Open floor plan creates flow and sightlines through living room, kitchen, dining space, and lanai. Generous closets and nice laundry room. We've worked to create a space that has color and vibrancy, with no recliners! Views include glimpses of Blackburn Bay via our neighbor's orchard next door. No houses on either side of our lot. Beautiful night skies - limited street lights make the stars and moon seem much closer here. Note:we haven't had time to work on the yard yet, so please accept its generally 'natural' look for this year.
The whole house and yard is yours: new Smart TV (Netflix and other apps, internet, local channels), wifi, Bose radio with ipod input option, full laundry with sink, drying rack and outdoor clothesline, beach chairs (5), beach towels (5), inkjet printer, large deck with outdoor seating, new charcoal grill. We supply some basic kitchen items as well, such as spices, sugar, flour. Other items: coffee grinder and coffee maker, toaster, good quality knives, along with all the cooking and eating utensils needed for living and eating well. One car garage with automatic opener.
This is a special old neighborhood, with giant stately pines, open and wooded lots, and quiet streets. No walled compounds, no traffic signals, but lots of humans and dogs getting their exercise and greeting each other, birds strolling and poking around in front yards. Yet we are less than 1/2 mile to US 41 Tamiami Trail and less than 2 miles to Nokomis Beach, which you can get to without crossing US 41.
Location: Our residential streets are biker and walker friendly with courteous drivers. Nokomis Beach is 1.8 miles away via Bayshore Road to Albee Road (no need to get on the highway). Publix grocery store, CVS, and the Post Office are also just a mile away via Bayshore and Laurel Roads. A car gets you to Venice: about 3 miles south, Osprey: 3 miles north, and Sarasota / Siesta Key: about 20 minutes north.
Pet Policy: we love pets, but we are not yet ready to have pets we don't know in our new house. Sorry!!
