Great location, beautiful sunsets
We had a wonderful time in Marathon! The house is centrally located to all the restaurants and shops, yet still private and with a wonderful view of the Gulf. The sunsets every night were amazing! We brought our boat and it was so nice having it in the water behind the house for the entire week. Quick and easy access to the Gulf and the Atlantic. The house provided all the amentities that one could need and what it didn't have (we needed a large pot for Beaufort Stew, a South Carolina staple) the owner immediately went out and purchased one for the house! We actually ended up using the burner several times that week, so I it's a great staple to have. The ice maker was a game changer! We fished all week so it was great to not have to go out and keep buying ice. The guys loved it! We stayed downstairs and the room was perfect for my husband and I with the separate AC unit, as we like it cold. The bathroom was super nice too, especially the wifi enabled radio. We highly recommend this house and can't wait to return next year!

Everything we thought it would be and then some!
This house is a little gem! The pictures do not do it justice. It was very roomy, clean, modern and in a perfect location. Our trip started by a personal welcome from the owners, Jon and Lori. Jon gave us a tour of the house and showed us all of the particulars. He made sure to be available if anything was to go wrong (which it didn’t), even checking in during the week to make sure we were doing ok. We felt very welcome here. Upstairs has 2 very roomy bedrooms, both with comfortable king size beds and flat screen TVs. One of the bedrooms had a private bath, the other shared a bath with the living room, but was able to be kept private via a pocket door. The living room had a huge sleeper sofa and two very large and comfortable chairs to relax in. Wifi was available readily throughout the house. The kitchen had all modern appliances, Fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. I was very surprised by the amount of kitchen "goodies" (spices, blender, pots, pans, etc..) It also had a small bar with room for 4, the dining room had a large table for 6. The lanai swept the entire side of the house and looked over the gulf. It was somewhat obstructed as there are a couple of houses in between, but they were not at all a problem. The downstairs bedroom also had a king bed, private bath, mini fridge and sitting area. The older kids had a place to get away from the adults and were very content. Directly behind the house was a deepwater canal with less than a minute idle speed ride to the gulf. About a mile down the street we found a very well kept public boat ramp. The location was perfect for boating. The location of the house is at the end of a dead end cul-de-sac on the water. It was very quiet, with hardly any traffic for the entire stay. It is minutes from shopping and dining. Marathon sits about in the middle of the Florida Keys. Its about a one hour drive to Key West in one direction or about the same to Key Largo in the other. We could not ask for a better vacation home.

Our new favorite place!
I can't say enough good things! We loved it. Clean, updated and fantastic location to have the boat. Owners awesome to deal with and very helpful. There is a public boat launch just up the street (free) to initially put your boat in and then you just dock it at the house. Deep canal right on a cove and Vaca cross thru close to go back and forth between gulf and Atlantic. If you stay in the keys much, you know how much ice can cost you for coolers...this owner has a commercial sized ice machine on site for your ice as well as ice and bait freezers. We were ecstatic. Ha! You can even fish off the dock if you want. We piddled a few nights and caught some mangroves.(good for kids) The other plus is there is more room than usual between lots. Makes it feel more private. We rarely saw anyone in houses near us. Sitting out at the dock in the evenings was quiet and peaceful. The young adults with us were impressed with the Bluetooth speakers in the downstairs suite and there is a electronic weather station in living room. Nice touch. I could go in and on. If you are coming to the Keys for a great fishing vacation and want everything at your fingertips plus top notch....THIS IS IT! We WILL be back. I've already programmed their numbers in my phone.
