Our 2 bedroom/2 bath home is located on the end of a canal that leads directly to the Intracoastal Waterway. We are two miles from the inlet of John's Pass and access to the crystal clear water of the Gulf of Mexico.
The Mad Beach Bungalow is your paradise in Florida. A resort like backyard features a heated pool, a covered lanai with a 50'' SMART TV, an actual coconut tree growing through the deck and plenty of sundrenched patio space to work on your tan. There is also a private boat and fishing dock.
Inside The Mad Beach Bungalow you will discover your home away from home. Everything you need to spend the winter season in sunny Florida is at your finger tips. The Master Bedroom has a large, comfy King Size bed, full custom bathroom and a large walk-in closet with a washer and dryer.
The kitchen is newly renovated with granite countertops and stainless appliances. (Range, Microwave and dishwasher) All the cookware, dishes and drinkware are provided for eating at home and entertaining friends. A blender, mixer and coffee maker are also included.
The living room features a wrap around sofa with a 50'' flat screen tv. All tv's feature cable tv and there is also international phone service (Canada, Continental U.S. and Puerto Rico).
The Guest Bedroom features a Queen Size bed, private access to the bathroom and a private entrance/exit to the backyard area.
The home has central air conditioning and heat.
All of your linens, towels, pool floats, coolers and beachgear are provided. Just bring your suits!
The Mad Beach Bungalow is our private summer home and equipped as only the owners would equip their house. There is a gas grill along with a large Green Egg Smoker for guest use.
The grounds are flush with tropical plants, flowers and trees and it truly feels like a private resort.
The rental includes weekly pool service and lawn service.
The Mad Beach Bungalow is located within walking distance to the white sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico in Madeira Beach. There are numerous restaurants, watering holes and shops of all sorts within a leisurely 5-10 minute walk. Two grocery stores are located within a few minutes drive.
Madeira Beach is a locals community that welcomes visitors. It is not as touristy as our neighbors to the south (Treasure Island/St. Pete Beach) or our neighbors to the north (Clearwater Beach). You will enjoy the quiet, residential neighborhood and fun loving neighbors! They are sure to become instant friends.
Madeira Beach is a short 30-40 minute ride to Tampa International Airport and St. Pete/Clearwater Airport. The bustling ''city'' of St. Petersburgh is 25 minutes away. There you can enjoy world class restaurants, craft breweries and cafes. The world famous Salvatore Dali Museum is also a quick 20 minute ride away.
Spring baseball training for the Toronto Blue Jays is 40 minutes to the north in Dunedin. The Yankees, Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers are all within a 1 hour drive of Madeira Beach.
But the best part of Madeira Beach is The Mad Beach Bungalow. Your own personal, private resort along the Gulf of Mexico.
The Mad Beach Beach Bungalow is a non smoking home. You may smoke on the back patio.
We are dog friendly. There is a pet deposit and a dog fee for those bringing along fido. We do not allow cats.
There is a $200 per month electric credit provided to guests. Amounts over $200 per month usage will be charged to the guests.
The pool is heated and a pool blanket is provided to keep the water warm when not in use.
One cylinder of gas is provided for the gas grill.
Starter dish soap, laundry soap and bathroom and cleaning supplies are provided.
The Mad Beach Bungalow is suitable for 1-2 couples with an occasional overnight guest or two. It is not a vaction flop house. We will not allow more than 4 person staying at the bungalow on an extended basis. (3 day weekend max).
We are located in a residential neighborhood and our neighbors are like family. We are therefore very adamant about keeping a low profile, vacation rental and making sure the neighborhood peace is not disturbed. Vacations rentals in Madeira Beach are regulated and inspected by the City. The use of the home is also under the jurisdiction of the Sherriff's Dept. they are the ones to enforce the property codes and vacancy regulations. Please respect our neighbors.
There is a driveway and car park that allows for 3 cars.
The backyard is completely fenced on three sides with the yard open at the seawall. As mentioned, you can walk to breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a few good happy hours!
FYI, the video in the link was taken a few years ago. The house had had a new kitchen and floors along with several furniture and outdoor upgrades since then.

$1500.00 is due upon rental confirmation. $500 is a refundable security deposit that will be returned within 14 days after departure providing their are no damages or overages on the electric bill.
Balance is due upon arrival with a bank check or cash.
PAYPAL can be used for the initial payment.
Local and State taxes are INCLUDED in the rental rate.
Pet deposit and additional pet fees are dependent on the type and size of dog. Talk with owner. We are dog people and good dogs sre welcome!
Pool Cleaning and Lawn Service are included.
We understand life can get in the way of plans. If you cancel prior to or during your stay we will try our best to rent the Mad Beach Bungalow to cover the dates that you have reserved. If that happens you will be refunded the balance of your rental.
Contact the owner by email or phone and we will discuss your stay and the rate. Once we settle on the final terms you can use PAYPAL (credit card) to pay the required deposit and the Bungalow is yours.
This is our first time using TRIPZ.COM. We were longtime subscribers to VRBO but no longer use them due to their reservation policies and exhorbitant fees charges to owners and guests. As mentioned, The Mad Beach Bungalow has not been available for the winter/spring season for the past 7 years. Our regular guests have health issues that will be keeping them in Canada for the winter.
