*IMPORTANT NOTE:  This Condo is permitted to allow Short Term Vacation Rentals: both the County Exemption and the State of Florida Short Term Rental Permit.  I restrict rentals to minimum of 3 - 5 nights depending on time of year/special events/holidays, unless otherwise advertised as a Special for a specific stay.

 

BASIC INFORMATION:  The condo has been fully updated for your comfort & convenience;  Spacious Condo with 2Bedroom/2Bath, sleeps up to 6 people in Memory Foam Beds + baby in crib (details below).  All Rates are quoted PLUS Basic Cleaning Fee, 12.5% Sales Tax and Requires Security Deposit, refundable after the condo has been cleaned and checked.  Full Details Below.

This is a NON-SMOKING CONDO for the comfort of all guests (and Owner).  You may smoke on the balcony, with the door closed.

 

Condo Regulations Restrict any guests’ pets.  Service Dogs of course are permitted (see additional requirements below.)  Under NO circumstances may a cat be brought to my condo (I’m horribly allergic).

 

I've owned and have been renting my condo since 2000 and received rave reviews.  Please inquire for actual rate based on your specific stay.  Rates listed on the website are not always accurate.  They cannot calculate for all the factors which make up the rental rates, including # of people, Dates, Length of Stay, Date of Arrival/Departure, etc.

 

I have opted to list my condo on sites that Do Not Add Fees to my rental rate; restrict direct/verbal contact between renter & owner or require payment through on-line website.  VRBO and its affiliates, others have joined the trend, of adding fees and commissions up to 15% to owner rental rates, payment through online websites in the guise of “safety”.  I have consistently had rave reviews.

 

FYI: Confirm Ownership of a particular property.  Look up the property address up in Monroe County Property Tax records.  My name is associated with my property.  I also have local references from a local business owner and realtor, available on request.  It’s an extra step that can provide you with peace of mind if your unsure.  Additionally, you can look me up:  I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist in Private Practice Specializing in CranioSacral Therapy in Miami.

KAWAMA TOWER CONDO - Comfortably Furnished in Teak

 

Condo View: Palm Trees, Playground, Tennis Courts & adjacent Wildlife Sanctuary.

 

THE CONDO

Condo is furnished mostly in Teak with your comfort and convenience in mind.  This spacious condo is on a single floor in an Elevator Building.  Porcelain tile throughout w/all the comforts & amenities of more expensive resorts. 

 

Fully updated condo.  Living Room, Dining Area, Balcony 2 Bedrooms & 2 baths. Sleeps up to 6 in Beds Plus crib for baby (7),  Bahama Shutters in bedrooms and living room window – allow for light, privacy and airflow if you choose to open the windows in the cooler months - no rattling verticals on bedroom windows. Condo is furnished mostly in Teak with your comfort and convenience in mind.

 

Spacious, fully stocked Kitchen w/Bar/Counter: cookware, small appliances, RO-H2O filter; Ninja Blender w/take along cups); Coffee Maker w/permanent fine mesh filter; Toaster Oven; Food Processor; Counter top Grill; Crock Pot; Electric Citrus Juicer & mini chopper, built-in Microwave; Dishwasher. Plenty of dishes, glasses cooking and eating utensils & gadgets, storage containers, as well as outdoor plates and cups, Knives that actually cut, etc.!  You will usually find teas, spices canned goods and condiments  - use what you like, leave what you don't use.  Condo has been renovated: New baths & Kitchen and small wet bar in 2nd bedroom with granite counters.

 

Master Bedroom - King Memory Foam Bed, full bath suite with Walk In Shower

2nd Bedroom- Queen & 2 Twins Memory Foam Beds (daybed w/trundle) and a Wet Bar with small refrigerator.   Choice of Fiber fill or memory foam pillows.

* Baths: Safety Bars, Dispenser for Shower Gel, Shampoo & Conditioner; Hair Dryers.  Daily Shower Spray provided, please use it to help keep the bath & shower clean.  Medicine Cabinets contain an array of useful items: toiletries, first-aid items. Bath Towels & Beach Towels provided.  Extra older towels in the linen closet are available to take out on boat/fishing trips.

* 2 Pools - available for all guests. (The Tower only Oasis Pool is currently under going repairs)

* Enjoy a long swim in the Saltwater Lagoon (my favorite swimming hole) with sandy beach at 1 end/deck at the other & several floating platforms.  The lagoon is aerated in several spots (you will see bubbles on the surface).  IMPORTANT SAFETY:  ABSOLUTELY 'NO' Jumping or Diving into the Lagoon from anywhere.  Bits of Algae collect along the perimeter with some breaking off into the water...an Ecosystem at work.  Water quality exceeds requirements.  The ocean feeds the lagoon, thus is affected by tides.

* The Tower is closest to the Beach:, Marina,  Lagoon, Tennis Courts, Playground and Jette

* A packed sand Beach (a cove formed with the Jette - seaweed collects along the shore),

* New Playground – Pirate Theme

* 2 Tennis Courts, Resurfaced

* Jette (helicopter landing pad in WWII); You can walk out onto the Jetty.  It affords a great oceanside sunset view and peaceful place to cast a fishing line (don't expect to catch much along the shore).

* Marina with free Boat Ramp use.  The Tower has a private boat wash.

* Boat Slips available for Rent. ***MARINA - Insurance Requirements: $300,000 Liability. Documents Required at Gate for your boat to enter Kawama.

RENTALS:

FROM: $900/Wk - $1800/Wk…Rates are based on Time of Year – Season Summer Fall, Holiday, Special Events; Number of people up to 6 –plus baby makes 7.  Shorter Stays are NOT pro-rated on daily basis. 

Sept 15 – Nov15, ONLY has option for condo as 1BR/1B with Full Suite Max: 2 people & Posted Specials  (2nd Bedroom & Bath will be locked off). 

 

Each Rental Quoted is for specific number of people indicated - BABY counts as 1.  If you add a person after your reservation is made, LET ME KNOW and I will advise any additional rate.  Guests not added will void your rental agreement and the Security Deposit will be forfeited.

 

. Rates Quoted are for Cash/Check payment Directly to Owner.

. Any Fees incurred for payment are your responsibility (i.e., credit card/pay pal, wire transfer & other payments ) 

.Stays shorter than one week are not prorated, see daily & weekend rates.

. All last minute rentals must be paid in full via overnight mail, if time permits.  Last minute rentals must be paid immediately by Paypal or Zelle.  *Any fees for payment method is your responsibility.

. Best Rate is Saturday – Saturday Stay.  Exception: stays longer than one week, with arrival or departure on a Saturday.  Specials posted when they are available and are for specified dates.

 

Xmas & New Year weeks are separate weeks for both holiday periods only minor reduction in rate if booking is for more than one week but less than 2 weeks.

 

Rates subject to change. If you find a discrepancy at any time, please advise. Of course, I will correct any mistake I have made. Booking within a week of your inquiry will assure your quoted rate.

 

Once you confirm dates, initial payment must be received within 2 or 3 days and overnight for last minute rental (as stated in your rental agreement), to Guarantee your Reservation.  Please Do Not Confirm, if you are not ready to send payment. You don't want to be disappointed & neither do I or another potential guest.  Please advise method of payment and provide a tracking number as appropriate.

 

I handle all rentals on a 1st confirmed w/payment basis - plan ahead for your desired dates.  Receipt of Payment required with 2-3 days of receipt of Rental Agreement – refer to rental agreement you receive. Don't be disappointed.  Please advise if you are delayed sending payment.

 

Every effort is made to ANSWER INQUIRIES PROMPTLY.  Unanswered email or phone messages, likely have not been received, lost or voice message was unclear. PLEASE TRY ME AGAIN!  Be sure to include the number of people with your inquiry.

 

On receipt of Full Payment, Directions will be emailed to you with my 'Keys Guide' (suggestions for local activities, restaurants etc - personal favorites & other recommendations from previous guests).  It is my pleasure to answer any questions you may have at any time.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY All Cancellations must be made in writing with advance notice of minimum: 4 months for all rentals except: Peak Season Rentals, dates including all Holidays and Special Events which require minimum: 6 month cancellation; rentals for 2 weeks or more require minimum of 6 month advance cancellation notice; unless a rental is obtained for the SAME dates booked at the Full (non discounted) Rental Rate. If you cancel only a portion of your stay, the rate will be recalculated if a partial rental is obtained. Partial Rates are NOT prorated. A $200 processing fee will be deducted from any and all refunds.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Trip insurance is available from outside sources.

 

Documentation Required with Payment for Service Dogs.  Dogs not permitted on Furniture, or left on the Balcony.  Nuisance Barking is not tolerated. If Excessive/Nuisance barking is reported to management, you will be required to use a bark collar or leave - NO REFUNDS.  You must "SCOOP POOP"!

Due to personal allergies, NO Cats EVER!

SERVICE DOG: Additional Deposit $1000 required against possible damage or extermination as required - Fleas/Ticks can be a BIG problem in the Keys.  You must have you dog on flea treatment.  *The additional Deposit is Refundable After Approximately 2-3 MONTHS, when it can be determined there is no pest problem.

 

I also have a condo at Landings of Largo which is a minimum 28 night rental.  It is currently rented and rented in season for January 12 – March 9, 2019.

About The Area

KAWAMA AMENITIES

 

The Tower Oasis Pool - is currently closed for repairs and rennovation...overlooks the Marina.  Key and Pool Bands are required.  6 are available on the hooks above the Kitchen Bar. 

 

2 pools at Kawama are open for everyone while The Tower pool is repaired.  The Pool at the North end of the Lagoon, toward the entrance to Kawama Yacht Club is regularly open to the Tower. 

 

Packed Sand Beach with steps to the ocean and a strip along the beach which is available for relaxing at.   2 Tennis Courts  OPEN 8AM - 11PM.

 

A new Pirate themed Playground is in a sandy area opposite the tower

 

 

Lagoon with sandy beach at 1 end/deck at the other & several floating platforms between - NOTE:  NO DIVING or JUMPING into the lagoon. *this is my personal favorite place to swim.  The salt water is fed from the ocean which is aerated, the water exceeds required standards.  It is basically a contained ecosystem.  There are clumps of moss which break loose from the edges, but these are not hazardous.

 

Beach: Packed Sand along a cove created by the ocean and the Jetty is available for quiet relaxation. Seagrass washes into thw cove, depending on the tide.  Due to the nature of the Keys, the ocean bed is can be rocky - I suggest water shoes.

 

The jetty is a great place to watch the sunset over the island (of course its the east side and the sun sets in the west!), cast a fishing line (don't epect to catch much here except bait) catch the breeze - or my favorite: **spot for early morning Yoga.

 

MARINA Boat Ramp - no charge. Boat Slips available for Rent through Marina Management. I can put you in touch with the Marina Management for that purpose.  I do not own a boat slip. I know only one owner who rents privately I can check on his slip availability.  MARINA - Boat Insurance Requirements: $300,000 Liability. Insurance Documents Required on entrance at Gate & at Marina.  

 

There are endless Restaurants in the area.  I will forward my "Key's Guide" with suggestions you may enjoy during your stay. We all have our favorites, and I've included others that have been recommended by other guests (these I may or may not have tried.  

House Rules

You are responsible for reading the Rules and Regulations provided upon entrance, also included with rental agreement and in the notebook on the kitchen counter/bar.

 

Below are a few highlights from the Rules & Regulations provided. Terms and conditions for my rental of my condo are also provided. 

 

By renting the premises you agree to all HOA Rules & Regulations as well as my terms and conditions provided. NO SMOKING in the Condo.  If you smoke on the Balcony, please be sure the door is closed to prevent smoke entering the condo.

 

When you arrive Water may be turned off at the main in the Laundry Room. The water levers are above the dryer (on the left). Turn the Green Lever parallel to the pipe to turn it on, the Red Lever should already been in this position if not turn it as well.  (DO NOT turn the washer knobs - to the right of the washing machine except to turn them on if someone has turned them off.)

 

There are 2 sets of keys in the condo for your use.  Return the key to the lock box after you have entered the condo, for emergency.  

 

Boats must register at the gate on arrival.  You must have proof of minimum $300,000 liability insurance for boats or you will not be permitted access to the property.  Boats may be parked on trailers that fit in the spaces provided for the Tower.  There is a boat parking yard, if space available, to store the boat on trailer for larger boats. Trailers Only may be parked for boat in use opposite the ramp for a maximum of 24 hours:  Boats on trailers and vehicles may not be left in this space.

 

NO DIVING INTO THE LAGOON, THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO JUMPING FROM THE DECK, TREES, OR FENCES! No power boats permitted in the lagoon.

 

Nothing may be hung on the balcony railings.

 

Nothing may be thrown from windows or balcony.

 

NO GLASSES permitted in or around the pool. Rules POSTED at the Pool must be adhered to. 

 

The Tower Pool is for up to 6 people per condo.  You must WEAR the pool band at this pool only.  The large Key opens the gate for the pool, Turn it as you lift the knob on top.  The Key is required to enter and leave the pool.  This pool is restricted for use by Tower owners and Guests ONLY. Do not open the Gate at the Tower Pool for anyone who is not in your condo or does not have a pool band. You may use the north pool near North End of the lagoon (near the entrance to Kawama). 

 

I do not have a Golf Cart.  If you do rent a golf cart it may only be operated by persons with a valid drivers license - do not let children drive a golf cart, not even under supervision of an adult.

 

Box/Enclosed trailers are not permitted in the complex, arrangements can be made to store them locally, on request I will attempt to help you arrange a rental space for you; Open trailers are permitted.

 

Children under the age of 10 must be supervised at pools and the lagoon.

 

Nuisance noise may be reported to the Guard at the Gate to be resolved. 

 

If you call me with a problem of others making noise, I will be happy to contact the guard if you prefer.  The number for the Guard Gate is provided in the Notebook on the kitchen counter.

 

WiFi sign on information is on the Notebook on the Kitchen Counter.

2 Bath: Master: Walk in Shower. Guest Bath full tub.  Dispensers provided with Gelee, Shampoo and Conditioner. Bath & Hand Towels & Wash Cloth and  Beach Towels. 

 

Hall Closet has additional older and somewhat stained towels which are good for boating/fishing trips more stains won't matter on these.  Please do not take bath towels out of the condo.

We loved it!

I can not say enough good things about Carol and the condo she so graciously allowed us to check into with short notice. The attention to detail from the decorations to the comfort of the King Bed (memory foam was amazing!) was beyond our expectations and we feel very fortunate to have found this unit. My husband is quite the cook so we were beyond pleased to find a fully stocked kitchen with pans, utensils and appliances. Additionally, there were plenty of towels for everyone and the beach towels were also fabulous. You will want for nothing if you stay here. Carol even provides a wagon in the unit in case you need to transport things from your car or to the onsite beach. The grounds are very lush and we did some fishing off of the jetty located on the property which also was great. My kids loved the lagoon, complete with live fish, and we were even entertained one morning by some resident iguanas. The pool tower was awesome - we didn't want to ever leave. If we ever go back to Key Largo, this is the place I would stay!

Terrific stay- has everything you need

We will definitely be returning to Carol's condo in Key Largo!! From the minute we walked in the door we loved the condo, the owner is fabulous she went out of her way to make our stay unforgettable. The beach decor is really lovely. The condo was spotless, very well stocked with linens, the beds were so comfortable, the kitchen...ah, let's just say it's magnificent...it's got everything just like you are at home, the lay out of the unit is wonderful. My family wanted to fish- no problem fishing pole, cooler, red wagon, etc, all in the utility closet... Not sure what you want to see or do? No problem she has a mini guide on the lovely granite counter , need internet access? Yes the condo has internet access and every room has a TV....The community itself is terrific wonderful sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed sitting in the gazebo by the jetty. The lagoon and pool were relaxing too. We raved about how wonderful our trip was friends have already asked for information about this condo unit in hopes of planning another trip. Can't wait until we can return and you can bet we will want to stay right here!!'

Thoughtful Details - At Home Feel

You will LOVE this amazing condo! It’s a perfect expression of Key’s condo in a great location, marina, grocery, private pools, gated property, and spacious layout. Then it goes to another level thanks to a remarkable owner, Carol. WOW!! We had the privilege of staying here for a week in June, from the moment we walked in we had an unmistakable “at home” feeling. Carol has done a fantastic job decorating with an island feel and look. It’s tasteful, updated, fresh, fun. Local colors and art make you know you are in the islands, right down to the teak furniture. Then Carol takes it over the top by covering every..single..detail...right down to the cheese grater! Who thinks of stocking their rental condo with a cheese grater?? CAROL does!! I made a key lime pie and wanted lime zest and didn’t think twice that this condo would have one, I looked in in two cabinets and sure enough, there it was! From the fully stocked kitchen, even chef knives, the shampoo hanging on the wall in the shower, the stocked essential spices, paper products, condiments, washer and dryer, beach and pool toys, two sets of keys when the family is in two places, the incredibly comfortable memory foam beds, every details is covered. We discovered Island Dolphin Care, amazing facility committed to care of special needs children through interaction with dolphins. Our special needs daughter Abby had a magical day with the dolphins and experienced the transforming integration of therapy with dolphins. Carol’s condo is located 2 blocks away! It’s the perfect location and perfect setting for an extended stay while working with Island Dolphin Care. We are hoping to come back and stay for a month! Carol’s hospitality was obvious from our first interaction when I had a challenge with PayPal, she worked with me to resolve the issue and get us in on schedule. Her commitment to hospitality continued to the very end when she allowed us to extend our stay to participate in the dolphin program with our daughter. At every step of the way she was available to make our stay comfortable, convenient, and “right at home". Every time we walked into this condo we breathed a sigh of relief as if we were walking into our own home. It’s a testimony to Carol’s commitment to serve the needs of her guests that you can feel “at home” in her condo. It’s a mark of someone with the gift of hospitality to feel that spirit of “welcome home” even when the owner is not present! We will be back to our Key Largo home ASAP!

Great condo

Our stay at Kawama Towers was amazing. To start, Carols condo was very clean, decorated nicely and the kitchen was very well stocked with appliances to make all your meals. The pool and grounds were very nice and there is great fishing from the pier(my wife caught a record size mangro snapper and her first shark) If you do decide to go out for meals be sure to take a look at Carol's recommendations. We tried a few and they were all great.

The condo and property were great. There was not much of a beach when we were there but the lagoon made up for it we loved swimming in it. The condo was lovely perfect for our family, well stocked

Great stay

This is a great condo! Despite the construction, which is almost finished for this condo (though not for other areas of the building), the condo is very nice and convenient in Key Largo. Well-equipped, and Carol is super to work with. Much better than a hotel, and we would recommend it highly! Would stay there next time!

Perfect setting for relaxing vacation!!!

Carol's condo is the perfect setting for a relaxing Key Largo vacation. The spacious unit has absolutely everything you need and more. All of the amenities of home!! The condo tower is centrally located and within easy walking distance of two pools, salt water lagoon, fishing jetty and marina. My family and I were blown away by all of the nature we experienced in the Keys. Carol is an absolute joy to work with! I would definitely stay here again!

Very Nice

Carol makes it ez. Quick accurate bookings. The photos are all spot on. Anyone with kids you can feel secure here. The lagoon was larger then expected. Read the other reviews I don't want repeat what other said. I cant disagree with any of them. The place is nice is an understatement. Things that I would think would help some one choose this area. You cant get lost. One main road north to south thru the keys lots of turning lanes for ez access to shops. There is groceries close by. A publix is just a few miles north and a winn Dixie north and south aprox 5-8 miles,. There is a kmart beside publix ( aprox 2 miles north if that). For basic snorkel gear go there avoid the dive shops etc unless you want higher quality gear. kmart also has fishing licenses. There is a FRESH seafood within 1 mile. For those wishing to charter a fishing boat the marina just .5 mile from the resort is very limited for private charters but there is a head boat there reasonably priced. Head south to Whale Harbor or Bud n Marys ( aprox 15-18 mile) Huge selections of private charters. There are lots of shops and things to see or do near the resort. Don't want to cook in the fully stocked kitchen . No problem tons of food places. For those beach goers that love to lay in the sand that tapers gradually in to the ocean FORGET it. This is the keys. I have been to 4 keys and yet to discover the beaches that Fort Lauderdale or Miami have. There is sandy areas to layout.

This was an ideal family condo with a nice pool and lagoon. The beds were comfortable. The owners supplies plenty of linens, towels, pillows and blankets. The only minor drawback is the view. We would recommend this unit.

Sunny Days

We were just at Kawama Tower and had a wonderful time. We had our three boys with us. We explored the keys, took scuba lessons, snorkelled in the salt water lagoon, and the ocean, ate everything in sight, held baby gators... It was a great week, action packed and we also spent some quiet moments lazing by the pool. The condo was immaculate, very pretty and well stocked with lots of little items. (very rare, usually the cupboards are BARE in a rental) The grounds were well maintained, and people everywhere were friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable letting the kids "roam" within the community with the gated entrance and the keyed entry to Tower and Pool. It was occasionally a pain to juggle towel, sunscreen, cold drink etc into pool, but a worthwhile security feature in my opinion. We read Carol's restaurant recommendations and visited many of her favourites, all with good results.. We especially enjoyed Hobo's, Key Largo Conch House (do brunch, great array of Eggs Benedict -with lobster, avocodo, crab cakes-yum!, Braza Lena (don't eat all day before you go!) and Jimmy Johnson's (watch the sun go down with a beverage, listen to the guitar player) Also enjoyed visit to Key West and tour of Hemingway's home.

Beautiful Condo

This was such a beautiful condo. We really enjoyed coming 'home' to it every night while we were there. The guard at the entrance made us feel very safe. The kids could ride bikes around without us being nervous, if they'd wanted to. Lots of colorful fish in the marina and off of the shore. Truly paradise. Loved the wagon. It came in very handy! The beds were the best. SO comfy. Thanks so much!

Great Condo

We stayed for a 5 day retreat here in the beginning of August. The condo is clean and has all the conveniences of home, just bring groceries and you are all set. The size of the condo is large and roomy which was my main concern. We have 2 young babies and had plenty of space. The highchair, crib, and playpen provided were in great condition and made the trip easier on us. The beds are super comfortable, grounds are quiet. Nice playground for kids and lagoon was fun. Great restaurants in the area, esp Snooks--good food and gorgeous sunset views and kid friendly. Will definately use this condo again in the future. Owner is available for questions and very helpful in assuring your stay is pleasant.

Carol's place is impeccable; she has every amenity

With three teenage girls, it is the only way to go. Carol's place is impeccable; she has every amenity and then some- from beach chairs and umbrellas to miscellaneous toiletries. My younger one said it best when my pierced ear became infected: "Check in the pantry, Carol has everything!" And there sat a bottle of peroxide! The complex is perfectly nestled in a quite area of Largo between Miami and Islamorada- we took day trips to both as well as to Key West. My husband and two girls went deep sea fishing out of Largo and caught four dolphin fish-Lazy Days in Islamorada cooked them up for us! We rented jet skis out of largo and went fishing off the jetty right on the complex. Kids are going to college in sept- this is most likely our last family vacation. It was simply perfect! Thank you Carol for providing such detailed, accurate information about your place and for sharing your piece of paradise !

Great Home Base

I can't say enough about how well Carol sets her place up. Just about anything you'd want. My 5-year-old loved the tennis courts and the pool. If you have kids that young, there's a pretty quiet beach that's great for that age that's free on weekdays about ten minutes away in Tavernier, plus Pennekamp is just to the north. Even though you're set back a bit from Route 1, you're certainly not far from civilization - groceries, CVS/Walgreens, all kinds of restaurants in under ten minutes. We had perfect weather, but even if we didn't, we were in a great place.

Perfect...

Just getting home from a week at Carol's condo, and I just wanted to drop a note. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect home base. Other than a few groceries, we needed nothing. If you didn't bring it, chances are likely that it's already supplied. Everyone we met, from the grounds keeper and security guards to the residents and other vacationer's were super friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend Carol's condo, and hope to visit Key Largo again.

I’d like to take a moment to give some feedback on our stay at Carol’s condo. However, as I look through the numerous 5-star responses, I truly wonder what I can add? When we travel, I spend a lot of time seeking out excellent locations to ensure we have a family experience to be cherished. My family was very pleased with this selection and I can confirm that all the positives comments reported by the other travelers are true and our experience was the same. Nice condo, nice location, nice owner, excellent experience. The condominium is very nice, is very well cared for, has plentiful cookware, glasses, silverware… and even condiments that are rarely or scarcely available in any other condo or multi-room hotel with kitchenettes. (We’ve heard similar claims of being well stocked from other condos and hotels – but even the best experience elsewhere was greatly improved upon here.) It is conveniently located on one of the nicest areas in Key Largo. It was a wonderful experience. When making the reservation, which was for a last minute rental, I felt a little apprehensive when I learned that Carol does not use charge cards for her billing and required full payment and deposit. (I don’t blame her because charge companies take a commission and are not always the friendliest to the individual business owner.) My apprehension was a waste of energy. Be assured that working with Carol will be more than just a good business experience. She over-delivered on my best expectations and my deposit was promptly returned. Working with Carol is how business relationships should be. Carol has a wonderful property in which her pride in ownership is clear. She takes good care of it and strives to make your visit resonate with her pride in the keys. Enjoy.

Excellent location and apartment

We stayed her for 10 nights in April 2011. The apartment was well equipped - in fact it had everything imaginable. The beds were were huge and so comfortable. The rooms were very spacious and easily to get around with my son in his wheelchair. Carol is so accommodating and will do anything she can to help. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to the Keys for my son to have dolphin therapy. The apartment is withing walking distance of Island Dolphin Care.

Fantastic Family Spring Break

My husband & I stayed here with our three boys ages 7, 12, & 15. We had a blast!! Carol was very helpful with a list of places to visit & see. My favorite was Calypsos Restaurant. We dove with Conch Republic in Islamorada. The condo was perfect! It was very clean, well maintained, & spacious. My favorite was having a full size washer & dryer. We came home with clean clothes. Normally I dread coming home because of the mountain of laundry. None after this vacation! We played in the pool, snorkeled in the cove, & played tennis every evening. The condo is very close to everything-- grocery, restaurants, diving, & Kmart. Carol was very helpful in leaving a list of places to visit. I recommend this rental for anyone! Carol has gone above & beyond for her clients! The listing was very accurate. We will be back! Thank you Carol for sharing your well equipped home & keeping it reasonably priced!

Very enjoyable week at Condo

The owner, Carol Stulman, provided all the pertinent and accurate information necessary for rental of this very, very nice condo. In general, I find it unusual to receive prompt and factual information from individuals and/or associations whose main goal is simply to rent their properties. In this case, Carol was very forthcoming with the information to make my decision an easy one. The property description, including the posted photos, was "right on" in every respect. From the location of the keys for access to the condo, to the general appearance and cleanliness of the unit everything was "as advertised". We enjoyed our stay very much and HIGHLY recommend Carol and her unit should your travel plans take you to Key Largo. You can expect everything as advertised, and a most enjoyable stay in a very peaceful environment, with never ending adventures of your choosing. I have never had a more enjoyable and serene vacation than we had during this week in late September and early October.......thanks Carol!!

Best Owner in the Keys

This was a last minute booking bc our other living arrangements on the mainland were canceled 48hrs before our trip. The owner was very professional, flexible, understanding, and accommodating to our needs. The condo was very clean and charming. We enjoyed the atmoshpere and feel of the place an look forward to visiting here again. We snorkeled at the rock jetti at the property and saw lobsters, rays, blowfish, and urchins. Kawama is 100% enjoyable. We were actually happy to stay here instead of our previous booking. My only complaint is not being able to stay longer! Carol, we will see you again soon. Thank you.

Carol's Condo was wonderful...

Carol's Condo was wonderful, spacious, bright, comfortable, and super CLEAN!! Fully stocked kitchen with EVERYTHING, linens, towels, and super soft beds. Location is great for access to diving, snorkeling , eco-tours in the Glades, a nice day trip to Key West, fishing, or just relaxing. Carol's condo is extremely spacious

Carol's condo is extremely spacious, well kept, and generously stocked for adults and children to enjoy their vacation. It was awesome not to have to haul so much "STUFF" with us. We were vacationing with another family in another condo unit and the Yacht Club was perfect for our family from ages 2 to 78! A fabulous vacation was had by all. The children loved the beach, sandy playground, and lagoon. The group of condos is extremely quiet, well kept and peaceful for a great get away. It is conveniently located to alot of activities when you do want to go out and enjoy water sports, restaurants, and other attractions in the area.

Carol's condo at Kawama

Carol's condo at Kawama is conveniently located near many great restaurants and outside entertainment. It is tucked away for quiet relaxation. The condo spaciously accommodated our guest size of 8. It's neat, clean and very reasonably priced. The private lagoon is beautiful and the playground is very nice as well. Kawama has a lot of nice, unique plants throughout the property. The online pictures are true to what they appear. We really had a great time!

The condo was spotlessly clean

The condo was spotlessly clean which was very nice. Carol made every effort to be accommodating to guests needs even to having extra pillows, etc. It was very nice to have condiments and spices already stocked. We always have to buy and dispose of so many extras that it felt great to leave things for the next renters and we felt fine using what was there. Its a "family" place.

Kawama was an unexpected

Kawama was an unexpected delight during our recent stay on Key Largo. The grounds invites us to wander and enjoy the many bayside scenic vistas and park-like facilities. The location was unforgettable, tucked away in a discrete corner of Key Largo which most visitors never know exists. A special treat was the architecture of the tower itself. The inner courtyard, surrounded by the convenient parking areas, is a dramatic, airy refuge from the sudden storms that sweep through the Keys. It was obviously inspired by some of the best of modern Miami. Carol Stuhmer has designed an ideal hideaway for the discriminating sport diver and adventurer, her unit is superb!
