Beautiful Quiet spot right on the water!
Quiet place right on the beach! Perfect spot to relax and unplug with everything you need. I have used VRBO many times and Sandy Shores had everything!!! We enjoyed our stay and hopefully can stay longer next time!

1 for a Reason!
Where do I start? My husband and I stayed in the Garden Cottage for five nights and I can honestly say this was the best place we've ever stayed. Myrtle keeps her cottages immaculately clean and it was like being in my own home for a week. She has everything you need - full kitchen if you want to cook some meals, full size fridge and washer & dryer on the property if needed. Bed is very comfortable and decor is perfect for the beach. This is a small cottage, but perfect for our needs. We will most definitely be back to stay again. The grounds and her garden are beautifully kept and there's lounge chairs and tables in several places, as well as anything you need for the beach - folding chairs, umbrellas for the sun, and various beach toys/noodles/boogie boards, etc. Also an outdoor shower to rinse off your sand from the beach. I have to admit I loved hearing Myrtle's German accent, as I lived in Germany as a girl. She and her small dog, Abby, will greet you when you arrive and she gives you a thorough tour of the property and is available anytime you may need her. You get a real sense of how much love, time & effort are put into keeping her cottages & grounds this special. The best though is this LOCATION! Steps from the beach (and this area of beach is very calm - not crowded or busy) as well as walking to a handful of restaurants - all of which were great (I'm partial to Lighthouse Donuts and their apple fritters)! This area of Indian Rocks Beach has no high-rise condos and except for the CVS, it also has no "chain" businesses - all mom & pop, unique and quaint area. I could go on & on - but the bottom line is this: you will love it here, I promise!

We had a wonderful time.
The location was perfect for our family vacation. With restaurants across the street, lighthouse donuts down the street and easy access to the beach, it made this the best location for a getaway. The property is beautiful and we'll maintained. Myrtle is wonderful and provided everything one would need for a stay at the beach. Will definitely stay there again when we have the opportunity.

Absolutly wonderful.
What can we say! A beautiful relaxing piece of paradise. Our cottage was like a home from home, fully equipped with everything you need. Myrtle was a wonderful host and made our stay amazing, from outdoor shower and laundry to her beautiful gardens. Every night was a beautiful sunset over the ocean that is only steps away from your cottage. Wonderful beach and ocean will be definetlty be booking our stay with Myrtle for next time.

Please be our guest! Sandy Shores has been in the Hall family for over 60 years, and is currently owned and operated by Myrtle Hall. Myrtle is German-born and moved to Indian Rocks Beach in 2000 when she married her late husband, Ned. Ned’s grandmother bought the Indian Rocks Beach property in 1946. Ned's father George Hall built the first, two-story building in 1952. The one-story Gulf Cottage followed in 1972. Ned's family lived here in the winter, and spent the summer in Ithaca, NY, where his father was the Golf Coach at Cornell University for over 40 years. Ned followed in his footsteps as a PGA Teaching Professional for over 25 years. He was teaching at the Clearwater Golf Club located in Clearwater, Florida when Myrtle, in Florida on holiday from Germany, met him in 1998. Myrtle and Ned, of course, had their wedding right in front of beautiful Sandy Shores!
Like Ned, Myrtle fell in love with this beautiful property and its rich family history. Ned and Myrtle started to rent out their cottages in 2005 after a complete beautification and enjoyed every minute of sharing this lovely property with their guests. Myrtle carries on the Hall family tradition of hospitality at Sandy Shores and adds her special brand of German warmth. Her attention to detail and cleanliness makes Sandy Shores a unique and charming retreat.
