It's a great location! The kids enjoyed watching the fish and turtles from the dock. A dolphin even swam down the channel one morning! Had everything we needed to enjoy our trip.Janene L.

The house is even nicer than the photos suggest!
Bird was a wonderful host, and the home was perfect for our needs! The Kayaks that come with the rental were a huge selling point for us bc we were mainly visiting the area in hopes of seeing Manatees. Sure enough, within 10 minutes of paddling away from the back patio of this home, we were hanging out with 2-3 of them (and this was off season)! We also rented Kayaks from Bird's Underwater Dive Center in town, which gave us access to a wider area to explore. If you don't want to kayak, Bird's also offers Manatee tours from a motor boat... We were two couples who also appreciated the two separate bathrooms, the surprisingly comfortable beds, the washer/dryer, and the fun Manatee-themed decorations throughout the home! Within walking distance of a mini-mart (just across the highway), and within easy drive of restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate for an instant to stay here again or recommend it to friends and family!Robyn S.

The Hall's River House is beautiful, well supplied and spotless. It is close to Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park and Bird's Under Water where we swam with manatees. We also made a quick (1 hour) trip to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. The kitchen has all needed spices and paper towel. There is shampoo and body wash or soap in the bathrooms. The fire pit was fun on a cold evening! We also enjoyed kayaking and fishing off the dock. For planning purposes: There is no hairdryer or hair conditioner. The DVD in the great room is not hooked up and the cable in the master bedroom is not connected. There are plenty of hangars and storage room. Clarification: There is one sit a top single kayak, one sit in kayak, and two tandems. There are fishing poles Pick up some imitation crab bites at Winn Dixie for bait! Our only complaint was that the TV in the great room was extremely small - very difficult to watch those college bowl games! We enjoyed Fat Daddy's Roadhouse although beware that the servings are huge! We also enjoyed Sara's Diner for breakfast after our swim!Suzanne L.

Paradise on the Halls River
This house was everything we could of asked for in a nice quiet weekend away. Use of the two kayaks was wonderful to explore the beautiful and quiet Halls River. The home had everything you would need, you really only need to bring your toothbrush! We will definitely return!Neil W.
