Great House for large family
Our family has been going to Florida for our vacation for several years. We usually stay in condos. This year we decided to try a house. Flamingo Landing was perfect for our large family. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom. The pool was the perfect touch to our stay. The kids enjoyed it so much we had a hard time getting them to the beach. The only draw back was the beach but we quickly learned a short walk to the second public beach access was worth the short walk. It had showers and bathrooms. The outdoor was perfect for grilling and eating pool side. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us for the week.

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE
My family of 11 adults and 6 children had a WONDERFUL time during our Thanksgiving stay. Each couple/family had their own bedroom and bathroom area, and the space was superb! The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need, and the furnishing were modern and more than comfortable. There was plenty of beach chairs and toys! The pool heated wonderfully, and the outdoor lounging space was cozy and spacious. Noelle was accessible if we ever had a question, and was helpful in every way possible! We will CERTAINLY be back!

We had an amazing time. Home accommodated all 12 of us perfectly. 4 adults and 8 children. We had everything we needed and owner was great to work with. Would definitely return next year!

WONDERFUL house and location!!!
I I searched for many many days to fins a perfect place for a last minute trip. I had not been to Destin before, so I didn't know anything about the different beaches/areas. This house is in the most desireable area, in my opinion. We rented a golf cart and did a lot of exlploring. The street is so pretty, and it's a quiet neighborhood setting. The walk to the beach is about 4 houses down, then across the street...super easy. We did choose to walk about an extra block to the next beach access where the public beach is much bigger. All have hoses to wash feet and the Shirah access has bathrooms! We had 5 children, from age 3-13. The teens stayed in the guest house...perfect for them! And they felt very safe, so did the parents. The pool is gated from the main house, as well as the pool house, so it was great for small kids. We didn't know if we needed a private pool but it was AWESOME!!! So nice to let the kids swim whenever they wanted. Grilling out by the pool was really great too :) We would love the windows or doors open in our bedrooms and the ocean breeze came through so nicely! I can't say enough about this home, the location, and the owner. All top notch. We WILL be back!

Spring start with Super deep cleaning! New Cleaning comany I adore! New sheets and towels! House decks and driveways pressurewashed and all repairs done! And the Property Manager lives a few mins away for anything that may come up during your stay.
It's so beautiful down here!
Please note minimum stay requirements before inquiry....Invite other families, or extended family and split the cost! And if you book my house next door (also sleeps 20) you can open the fence (20') in between to share the yards!

FLAMINGO LANDING
Now for the Good Stuff!
Everything you could want to know about this house is on this site! I have given just about every description I could think of about the house & the area...so please check it all out. At the bottom, I'll tell you what changes we've made recently.
We are excited to offer a Pottery Barn look with a Caribbean flair. You will love the house and the location! Not only is Destin beautiful, our house is central to everything! including just a 2-3 minute walk to the white sugar sand beach with emerald blue waters of the Gulf.
An open floor plan says casual vacation, spacious & private, 5 bedrooms, 3 hangout areas to spread out, and large backyard with good size pool and room for lawn games.
1st floor-1 king & 1 queen bed, separate bath w/shower,
pullout sofa in the living room
2nd floor-2 masters: 1 w/new king pillow top, & 1 w/king, both w/private balconies
3rd floor-queen w/private balcony, separate bath w/shower, plus a lounge are w/a new leather daybed w/trundle
All balconies have chairs & tables.
3rd floor hang out on the spacious deck with 2 love seats, 8 chairs, and 2 tables that open towards the sofas.
The pool house has 2 new queen pillow tops plus a sleeper sofa, loveseat, and bathroom w/shower & a kitchenette.
Sun by the private pool, which is a good size with a privacy fence. There are 2 grills, 1 NEW (as of 1/2015) propane, 1 gas. There is a picnic table, umbrella, lights for at night, and a large custom gazebo with a long bench. Many chairs around the deck for tanning-don't forget sunscreen!
There is a beach closet full of chairs, an umbrella, and cooler plus there is an outside shower for after the beach.
Stainless steel kitchen appliances & there is more than enough dishes & cups, plus everything you could need to cook for a crowd.
The furnishes have all been recently updated, as have all the beddings.
The living room has a new sleeper sofa, love seat, & 4 chairs, the dinning set seats 8 & there are stools at the bar plus a card table in the pantry for 4 more seats.
During March 2018~my contractor, housekeeper & I worked to make my house even better, based on reviews & suggestions I've gotten & made needed repairs. This is done every spring. I guarantee you will not be unhappy with Flamingo Landing!
My 2nd house used to be 2 miles away & is now in Santa Rosa Beach (20 mins away). my 4 kids & I (18 & up) spend our summers here, so we know the area & I am a plethera of information. The following is just a taste & I you may ask for more.
Less than 2 miles away is groceries, outdoor mall, movie theater, restaurants on the water, bike rentals and more. Just a little further...
Things to enjoy:

Harbor Walk Marina has restaurants, shops, pier, & plenty of things just to walk around & see like jugglers, artist, jewelry makers, etc. (5.4 miles west on 98)

VERY STICT ON THIS! The person whose name the house is rented under must be 25. For every 3-4 people under 25 there must be an adult. We do not allow exceptions as this is not a good neighborhood for 'spring breakers'. Thank you for your understanding.

Centrally Located to everything! Groceries, dining, shoppping, and movies are all just a mile away.
