Beachfront Captiva Treasure, Newly Remodeled!

Details

Home Description

Nestled in the sea pines in the heart of Captiva Beach is a private and secluded paradise that offers you the escape you've dreamed of. With unbelievable BEACHFRONT views from every room, and the sound of waves at night, your days spent in this historic cottage on Captiva will be a lifelong memory. Though the primary amenity is the SETTING...its privacy on over two acres of land adjoining the undeveloped grounds of the Rauschenberg Foundation, its beachfront location in the village, and the special ambiance of the cottage (on the Florida historic register)... the interiors offer everything you need to enjoy your stay. Both the downstairs and upstairs have a private living area. The downstairs bedroom has a king bed with new "Westin Heavenly" mattress, and new private bath with handmade tile shower. The upstairs suite has a queen bed, again with new "Westin Heavenly" mattress, and new bath with handmade tile shower overlooking the beach. The cottage is ideal for two couples or a couple with children...though it's romantic and cozy for just the two of you. There is an all new kitchen equipped with top of the line cookware, appliances (SubZero Fridge, Wolf induction stove) and a new outdoor grill. Two adjoining screened porches and a spiral stair to the rooftop deck make it hard to decide which has the prettiest view. A short walk down the beach takes you to the famous Mucky Duck or many other village restaurants and attractions. On a map, it is right in the center of the 5 mile Captiva Beach ... shells, birds, dolphins, sun, shade, some people watching...the Sea Pines Cottage is magical.

Best cottage on the Island!

This cottage has everything you need to have the perfect beach vacation. Looking out directly at the ocean drinking our morning coffee enjoying the view started our day made each day that much enjoyable. The home is exactly as it is represented. It was clean and tidy, well furnished, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you possibly need to prepare a wonder meal at home or in you are so inclined you are a short walk away from popular spots to grab a bite. Getting to the beach is a short walk on a private path dedicated to this home. One of my favorite activities is shelling and this location did not disappoint. I have been collecting for years and was pleased to discover shells I picked up for the first time. Irma payed her visit shortly before we arrived and this property was in tiptop shape. The owners worked.very hard cleaning and preparing before we arrived. I highly recommend this property for a small family, honeymooners, and anyone who wants a secluded but very accessible vacation spot. We will be back! Thank you Susie for making everything a breeze.

Best place to stay in Captiva

I hesitate to write this, as people will be trying to take my week! But what a heavenly cottage this is. It is adorable, spacious but so cozy as well, beautifully equipped (pretty much everything you can think of is there, from a huge supply of beach towels to all the utensils for serious cooking), and the location...the location...the location.... you look out on the beach, at the sunset, on the green/blue Gulf. You have privacy and shade AND views, somehow. The caretaker is wonderfully helpful and stocked the fridge and pantry for us before we arrived, making life super easy as we only had to make a few small grocery runs after that. The beds were comfortable, the bedding clean and luxurious (linen!), the couches and chairs were comfy, and the tables were all in good shape - I say this only because of the many rental houses I have had where the furniture is in poor repair. Not here. Even the beach chairs were all in perfect shape! I've been told the owner plans to install an outdoor shower, which would be a good thing, but she has a nice set up with a hose right outside the door and so we didn't have too much trouble keeping the place pretty clean and nice. One more thing - the teenagers with us were in heaven. The beach was irresistible, especially the water and the shelling, but there was also privacy and good Internet, so they could escape here and there. Plenty of good food within walking distance. It was just a wonderful week and I can't thank the owner enough for the thoughtful touches for her guests.

Slice of Heaven

This beautiful cottage on Captiva is gulf front! Not only is it decorated beautifully, but it is oh so private! Nothing better than sleeping to the crash of waves, coffee on the porch while watching the gulf, and cocktails on the upper deck watching the sun go down.
