After Christmas Stay
Our family recently stayed here and had a lovely time. The backyard is unique with a Tiki bar, great lighting, large heated pool and direct access to canal with a great view. We used the Bluetooth speaker to listen to music and made slushies with the drink mixer. Our children used the kayaks to paddle up and down the canal and fish from the dock. We used the gas fire pit one night when the wind picked up and made it chilly. Otherwise, we were blessed with unseasonably warm days. The location was very convenient and we found ourselves walking the majority of the time when we went to lunch/dinner. There are two separate levels with only outdoor staircases to access the upper level. There is a kitchen on both levels, which was convenient. Having over 10 family members, neither level had enough seating for us to all sit down at a table/bar at the same time, so we ate outside for most of our meals. Luckily the weather cooperated and it was the preferable place to be anyway with a TV and large outdoor modular as well as tables/bar for seating. The furnishings are brand new, from the kitchen appliances, countertops, washer/dryer, tiled showers, flooring to the memory foam gel beds. The beach décor was well done. Not having to bring beach towels or buy beach chairs was a huge plus. We used Stray Dog Charters in Cortez, FL for a 4-hour trip for 2 adults, 4 children. The kids were so proud of all the grouper and snapper they caught, which fed 12 at the Tide Tables restaurant, 14 for a cookout at the house and even more to take home.

Beautiful place - great for large groups
I recently got to stay here and - WOW! - this is a beautiful property that has recently been lovingly restored to what was likely better than its former glory. The property has amazing views from the front and back with ample outdoor living space and comfortable seating. There is a lot to do here, with HDTVs both inside and out, a heated outdoor pool with LED lights and did I mention a tiki bar?! This was a lot of fun to use while we enjoyed watching a game, grilling and drinks poolside. Our young ones enjoyed spying for wildlife from the dock where we got to see a manatee and her calf munching on the mangroves. The property is conveniently close to Pine Street and I could easily walk over to the Sandbar and the Gulf side where I prefer the beaches. The owners even had two golf carts to rent, which helped in getting our group around. The inside is wonderful, especially for large groups. The furniture is comfy and you can tell everything is brand new, from the kitchens to the bathrooms and the high-end beds. Because it's a duplex, our party could split up and enjoy some downtime as we got kids to bed or up for breakfast - the two kitchens were a convenience I never thought I needed but SO nice to have. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. I also appreciated the little touches, like high-end travel size toiletries and fluffy towels and ample closet space. Carolyn the owner was an absolute sweetheart who responded immediately to any of our questions and requests. By far, this is the best VRBO experience we've ever had with a property. We look forward to going back!

The main floor layout has 3 full-size bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. 2 face the pool and canal, one faces the bayside. The great room features a new sleeper sofa which pulls out and sleeps 2 comfortably.
There are steps up to the upper level. This has a larger layout with a bigger kitchen, 2 seating places on the porch to view the bay which accommodate 3 and 2 people comfortably. Inside features a large living room with 55” tv and Bose speakers, 2 oversized suites, one accommodates an extra daybed for 2 along with a king bed and large closet. The other bedroom is large enough to easily fit a pack n play, or 3! That has a walk-in bathroom with glass shower, and there’s another bathroom in the hallway. The wraparound deck features a 6-person dining table, a 2-person swing, and a double chaise lounge. This house is well stocked and designed for luxury and comfort!! Great location for family reunions, office retreat or get-together, girls' weekend, kid-friendly, and lower-level is handicap accessible.
