The King House, only 30 yards from a lifeguarded beach with great ocean views, is one the most spacious and welcoming beach vacation rental homes in Fenwick Island. A design delight, the King House offers separate gathering areas, a state-of-the-art kitchen with two sinks , two fridges, and two ovens, a private pool, tech lighting, two gas fire-places, and two walk-in indoor showers, all guaranteed to make your vacation one to remember.
Take our 3 beach carts and spend your day at the beach, close enough to return for food or bathroom visits, and return to the heated pool (extra fee for heat) at day's end. The pool deck is large enough for all your guests; and for those who wish to avoid the sun, there are two covered decks overlooking the pool.
King Street, a large-group retreat, spacious and luxurious, with sleeping for up to 19, includes three lavish master suites with king-size beds; one mini-master bedroom with a queen and a studio bed (suitable for a child) and an attached powder room; a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds; a room with a set of twin beds; and two dens: one with a full-size sleeper sofa and one with a full-size futon and a single futon. There ae two additional hall baths. Amenities include two generous walk-in showers; hi speed internet with WIFI, four cable TVs/DVDs including HDTV in den and living room; and two gas fireplaces: one in a master suite and one in the living room. All calls in US are free on household phones.
Within easy walking distance of the King House are Fenwick's many restaurants (one a James Beard award winner), coffee shops, book and clothing shops, 3 mini golf courses, water slide and go cart track.
Close to 6 King Street, the Fenwick Island town hall has a great playground for children, a basketball half-court, and a shuffle board court and a picnic area. There are two local kayak touring companies that specialize in surf and eco adventures. Plus, a large amusement park is just a few miles away as well as two boardwalks, and the Freeman Stage entertainment venue.

The guarded beach is 30 yards away from the King House and there is off street parking for 6 cars. There is also access to a large state park beach right up the road with plenty of parking. The park has life guard, showers, rest rooms, snack bar, and umbrella rentals and the beach was is replenished as needed.
Fenwick Island's beach is guarded, quiet and not at all crowded as you need to have a resident pass to park which restricts the number of beach goers.
The King House has been designed for large families and is perfect for small reunions, group celebrations, and quiet retreats. You could lease this house for a weekend, week or a month, and enjoy every minute of the comfortable and beautiful surroundings provided in the furnishings, appointments and neighborhood.

The town of Fenwick Island– Called the Quiet Resort - spans about 14 blocks and the restaurants, stores and activities are an easy walk from the house. The town hall has a good playground for children, a basketball half court, and a shuffle board court and a picnic area. A few of our favorite restaurants include Nantucket’s and House of Welsh .
You can take a short walk to the pristine beach for swimming and surf fishing, wander for miles in the adjacent DE Seashore Park. There are numerous golf courses, bike paths, three boardwalks, and superb dining in 2 states.
Ocean and bay watersports - charter boat fishing, wind surfing. Local watersports: swimming, crabbing, clamming, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, sport fishing, beachcombing, surfing, shelling, windsurfing.
Day Trip about a half hour from Fenwick: Rehoboth Beach: The town is much larger than Fenwick or Bethabny and boasts many shopping and dining options. You can also go antiquing. There is also fabulous sales tax free outlet shopping at 140 Outlet stores. Fenwick Island to Lewes DE is less than a half hour's drive; the town is historic and quaint with many great shops and restaurants. Or hop on the Lewes-Cape May ferry for a comfortable ride to beautiful Cape May NJ.
