We needed a weekend off and this was the perfect place. It is not to far from anything in Connecticut while being nice and quiet. The carriage house is well kept and pretty. The owner is gracious and kind. Enjoy your stay!

I really enjoyed my stay in this quaint yet spacious historic carriage house.Jay the owner/manager who lives in the main house was most welcoming and helpful.the fauna and flora were awesome and jay tends to a beautiful vegetable and flower garden.it is my choice to stay next time i am in the area.

A great home for a short or long stay!
My family stayed as we were visiting the area. The property is clean, well kept and Jay is a terrific host. The property and area are typical colonial New England. You can't go wrong.

2-bedroom, 1500 sf home with modern conveniences and a party room option
In the foothills at the gateway to Litchfield County. Charming, recently renovated, two-story, carriage house. Large windows open onto magnificent views of two acres of lawns, gardens and woods.
The residence features a spacious living room comfortably seating twelve or more in conversation and television viewing areas. The dining room is a step up from the living room with its large window opening out to the open patio and roofed over tea room with views into the open lawns and gardens with its own gazebo. There is a full kitchen with plenty of work space with doorway out to the patio seating eight for drinks or meals overlooking the landscape within the comfort of its hedges and trellises. The second floor is reached by an open stair and consists of a super-sized master bedroom with an adjacent sun room/office area, a second smaller bedroom with two windows, a newly renovated and updated bathroom, and washer/dryer facilities. Most of the furnishings are period pieces from historic homes in the South.
Adjacent to the Residence is a 450-square foot Three-Season Room (April to December) with a profusion of plants, an over-sized fire place, and a wall of glass or screens that opens out to the landscaped gardens. This space is an optional rental that's perfect for parties, meetings, conferences, buffet dinners, and relaxation with its seating for 16 and mammoth fireplace.
