Thank you so much for allowing us to spend our annual week together as a family in your lovely home in Newtown. This is a special time every year for my five children, their spouses and my 12 grandchildren to be together! It helped make the week even better when we had a lovely home such as yours to relax in . We never ran out of things to do in the area and we all took advantage of the sitting areas in the home and the beautiful yard when we were “home”. It only rained one day for a short time but there was still a lot to do indoors. During the week, we managed to see a few beaches, spent a day in New Haven, a few of the group visited the Norman Rockwell museum, hiked in the local area, shopped, enjoyed the local ice cream establishment and just spent time with our feet up around the fire pit. The huge yard was so nice for everyone, but especially the children. The little ones loved the tree swing and all the room to just run! We spent lots of time outdoors because the weather was warm (but not humid), the neighborhood was quiet and the yard was well maintained and relaxing. Indoors, the kitchen was very accommodating to our needs and large enough for several cooks at one time. With our large group, it seemed like there was always someone eating! We found everything we needed--and more! Bedrooms were comfortable and we loved the huge dining room where everyone could eat at the same time. There are several tables around the house for smaller groups to play games or eat. I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our week together. None of us have ever been to Connecticut and we all fell in love with it! We LOVE the stone walls everywhere! We agreed we’d like to go back to the area again. Thank you, again!

Excellent venue for family gatherings
We celebrated my wife's birthday here with the several family members and this property was perfect. Very spacious and comfortable. The grand kids had plenty of room to play without getting under foot. My son and son-in-law love to cook, and they were impressed with the well-appointed kitchen. Overall an A+. Looking forward to another visit.

Excellent place
This was our second New Year's weekend here and won't be the last. The place exceeds its description in comfort and luxury. House is clean, well appointed, and it is so relaxing to hang out in front of the fireplace or sprawled on the couch that we only left the house for a few touch football games in the huge yard. Kitchen fully stocked with cook and serving ware and plenty of space to store your groceries. House manager and house owner were very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommended, especially for large groups. Thank you for sharing your property, Janet! Much appreciated.

Absolutely perfect in every way!
We rented this beautiful home for my mother's 90th birthday and LOVED it! Plenty of room for our family of 12 to eat, sleep, and just hang out. We were lucky to have ideal weather so when our extended family joined us for the day we could enjoy the stone patio and beautiful yard. The fire pit and gas fireplace took the chill off at night. The kitchen was beautifully appointed and a dream to cook in. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our long weekend in this perfectly beautiful home! A New England paradise! The party was catered by Bountiful Board and we HIGHLY recommend them too! I wouldn't be surprised if we book a return visit!

Beautifully furnished, 14 rooms, 6400 square foot, Custom Home with every amenity, 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, central A/C, on 4 acres of perfectly landscaped lawn, with fruit trees & gardens. This home is luxurious, great for family reunions, wedding families, romantic get-a-ways, family & friends.
Gourmet Kitchen, 6 burner gas range, granite tops, custom cabinetry, Bosh dishwasher, All Clad Pans, very nice dishes, serving platters, stemware, equipment and utensils. Fully equipped to create any meal and baking needs.
Wood floors throughout with stone floors in the kitchen and bath.
Great Room has 34x19 with 9 foot ceilings, a Fireplace, Plasma TV, 3 sofas, lounge chairs, table & chairs for eating or cards or puzzle. French door lead to the patio for year round fire pit enjoyment.
Dinning Room (23x14) with 11 foot dinning table that seats 12 and additional drop leaf table to seat 6 more. Patio door leads to side bluestone patio with a fire pit, large teak table & chairs, grill and gardens.
Large living Rooms both with Fireplace. Lots of windows...
Entertainment Room has a 14 foot Shuffle Board table, 52 inch TV with surround sound. Large seating area, Full Bath, Queen bed, Glass Doors that lead to a Bluestone Patio and beautiful back yard facing west..
Master suite has it's own wing with, large walk in closet, master bath with separate jet tub and large walk in shower,
second floor has two seating areas off bedrooms: one with large sofa, Large Chair, flat screen TV, another with 8 Foot Mahogany Work Area with Stereo Headquarters, fully wired for sound with speakers in all main rooms..each with it's own volume controls.
