Minimum StayWonderful place to stay in the heart of Vail
We wanted to stay in a condo in the center of Vail that would accept our two dogs. We found this place and Gene, the owner, went out of his way to work with us when we had an emergency pop up. Luckily things worked out and we ended up taking the vacation and can't thank Gene enough for making it happen. The condo is beautifully decorated in a Swiss Chalet style and is very clean and well taken care of. It has a full kitchen, large dining area, gas fireplace, comfy sofa and two recliners to sit on while watching television, master bedroom and 3/4 bath all on the first floor. Two sliding doors with built in shades from the dining and master take you to large deck with an electric grill and chairs so you can people watch and also see the mountains. A circular stairs takes you up to a room with two full size bunk beds which easily sleep four each plus a smaller area with a twin bed, a laundry area with brand new top of the line washer and dryer plus a full bath. The unit has a swamp cooler so you can have heat or cool air as you wish. We had trouble finding the condo since Wall Street is not marked anywhere except on maps. If you find the children's fountain and Lancelot Restaurant, the condo is across the street in a commercial building that houses real estate companies, lawyers and other professionals on the second floor. Residences are on the third floor. The address is on the glass that surrounds the door to the building and quite high so it easy to miss. Hint ...pack light as there is no elevator and you need to carry your luggage and food up three floors. Being the condo is right in the heart of Vail, there is no parking near the condo. There is an arrangement with Manor Vail to park and use the shuttle, but Checkpoint Charlie told us to park for free in the parking structure on the frontage road which was a long block away. This made it very easy and were glad we listened to all the advice from the helpers at Checkpoint . We were very pleased with our entire vacation and am thankful that Gene was understanding when things went off for a day or two before the start of the vacation. We have already told him that we plan to be back and that we highly recommend this place to anyone who would like a quiet, dog friendly building right in the heart of Vail. Everything is right out the front door of the building, you can hear Gore Creek flowing and see the lights of the fountains and other sculptures around Vail. Highly recommended.

Cozy, confortable with plenty of room
The apartment is very well kept and equipped. We felt very confortable there. The landlord was always contactable and answered quickly and kindly to our questions. The Chalet
Designed in the style of a Swiss chalet, every detail was meticulously chosen and artfully executed. Most of the walls are covered with antique Austrian pine boards that were individually chosen and placed. Other authentic details include a gas fireplace, and hand-scraped antique pine floors. Curl up with a book, work on a family puzzle, or simply use our chalet as your home base for exploring the famous Vail Village. All our guests comment that it's both perfect as a romantic getaway and a family retreat.
Our guests love the perfect combination of coziness and -- the most acclaimed feature --location. It's difficult to find a vacation home in Vail that is more central to everything. If you were any closer to the mountain, you'd be sleeping on the gondola!
