This beautiful condo was even better than the pictures. Everything was perfect and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. The condo was beautifully decorated with high end finishes. To say the condo was fully stocked is an understatement. We had everything we needed and lots more. Curt and Nancy, our hosts, went above and beyond to meet our every need. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this rental went beyond our expectations. We highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again.

LOOOOVED OUR STAY AT THE PENTHOUSE!
My husband and I have stayed in the penthouse for our 5 year anniversary and loved the comfortable homy feel of the penthouse. The quality of the build and the details of providing literally everything we need were mind blowing. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive in the winter to get up the iced alley to the garage.

One of a Kind. Clean with Epic Views!
I took my Dad as a gift. He's an antique buff, and one of the most picky people on earth. From the moment we walked it, he couldn't stop raving about the quality of the penthouse, the colored lighting, the wood work, the neatness, and of course the views. He slept on the sleeper sofa and I took the king bed. We walked to Bon Ton for dinner which was great. We did the pharmacy museum with Curt and that was a mind blower, full of history and priceless antiques to articulate the stories. I'm excited to take my wife, and Dad again too. For couples or families of 4 or less, I can't imagine a better experience in Ouray.

Incredible mountain vista
Built above the apothecary store and museum in central Ouray, this beautifully designed condomium was our retreat for 3 nights. A very complete kitchen fully stocked, with coffee, spices and sweets had a glorious view of Box Canyon and the cozy town of Ouray. Within walking distance of hiking trails, a waterfall, natural hot springs, and several great jeep tour facilities, we had a fantastic stay. Two peaceful balconies with amazing mountain views were ours to enjoy. The king size bed was so comfortable! BonTon was our favorite restaurant and was recommended by the owner. This brand new penthouse suite 1000 sq ft + is located on the top third floor of the newly-built Ouray Alchemist building in the heart of town. Bi-directional pleated shades offer the excellent combination of breathtaking 360 degree surrounding mountain views with just the right amount of privacy desired. It is the perfect romantic haven for enjoying the numerous activities in the adventurous Ouray area.
There is a 400 sq ft deck that gives you private views of the Chief Ouray Mine, Cascade Falls, the Amphitheatre and Twin Peaks. In addition there is a small breakfast balcony facing Main Street with a giant Douglas fir just to the south providing shade and privacy to those who want to see what is going on around town.
The Ouray Alchemist is a long-time project for Curtis and Nancy. Curt has been collecting pharmacy artifacts for many years. The commercial space features a historical collection of pharmacy memorabilia dating back to 350 BC. The collection is a tribute to the history of pharmacy, containing many hand-blown label-under-glass bottles with the original drugs (herbs and roots) with an emphasis toward mining and Colorado pharmacy history (such as the oldest written prescription in Colorado). It is a memorable tribute to pharmacy worth seeing during your stay. Pharmacists Curt and Nancy will do the best to make your visit well worth it. The Ouray Alchemist, what we call our retail area and museum, has just been featured on the cover of Bottles and Extras - Jan/Feb issue along with an article. We are also having an article written about us in GV Magazine. This stands for Grand Valley and is mainly distributed around the Grand Junction area. Grand Junction is just a two hour drive from Ouray.
The Ouray Alchemist building is unique to the Ouray area. Enjoy the whimsical finial portraying the sun, moon and stars. The gargoyles positioned on the four corners of the copper-domed tower by tradition offer protection and happiness to those who enjoy this incredible suite.
