Great cabin tucked away!
My group and I stayed for a long weekend, with the intention of skiing and riding the surrounding areas. And this cabin was the perfect lodging for us! Tucked nicely in the trees, we really enjoyed the privacy and location, and the amenities were fantastic. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home and great location!
We stayed here for a week and met my family from Arizona. There were 12 of us and it was perfect. It is very close to Durango Mountain - maybe 5-10 minutes up the road. We were close to Durango and also Silverton. We went to Mesa Verde, did a hike behind the house, went horse back riding, hiked to Ice Lake (most beautiful hike I have even been on!), went to Durango Mountain for the alpine slide and other rides, went fishing at a lake near Silverton, took the train from Durango to Silverton and basically had a wonderful family vacation! The house was really nice with plenty of space for all of us. The kids used the hot tub a couple of times. The kitchen table fit us all and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the back yard and porch. The pictures are accurate and the house was clean. The upstairs bedroom got pretty warm, but we were able to rig a fan by the window. My only complaint would be that the kitchen is pretty small and hard for a lot of people to be in there working on dinner, but it was fine. The home is very private and in a beautiful location. We would recommend this house to anyone. If you go in the winter, you definitely need a 4 wheel drive to get there. It has a pretty steep driveway. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home! We hope to come back!

Welcome to the Castle Rock Cabin. This lovely home is nestled in the trees and backs to National Forest Land and has a great location just 3 miles south of Purgatory/Durango Mountain Resort. With gorgeous mountain views and lots of peace and quiet, we know your stay here will be filled with relaxation. To top it off the home has a private hot tub, great after a day of activities and exploring all Durango has to offer.
The home features other great amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, full garage, an Xbox game system for the kids, as well as wi-fi. The master bedroom has a King bed and a private bath. The second bedroom features a Queen bed. Upstairs you will find the third bedroom with a Full bed, as well as the loft area with 2 additional Full beds. A pack-n-play is provided if you have younger children. There is also an additional Queen sofa sleeper in the living room for additional sleeping options.
This home is pet friendly. Approved Pets are allowed with a non-refundable fee based on size/type.
