We found this to be a wonderful accommodation! Though it is an efficiency over the garage, it is quite large. The sitting area is generous and comfortable. There is a large flat screen TV. Though small, the kitchen still works well for one person, is modern, and it has everything you need. The back porch was delightful and private. We loved how much natural light there was in the room. There is a set of sliding glass doors to the porch; a very large picture window (noted in the photograph); plus a huge skylight over the bed. There is a long set of stairs up to the apartment which one needs to be aware of. We were also overwhelmed by the luscious landscaping all around. It is truly spectacular in terms of its variety and abundance. The sitting area by the fire pit is perfect, with a view of the ocean and the sound of the stream down the hill. In fact, there is another sitting area down by the stream if you prefer. It was all very private, quiet, and relaxing, even though there is beach access just across the road. Though Maclyn was away during our stay, Janet was a very friendly and eager host. My wife and I stayed in four quite spectacular places during our trip up the Northern California coast, and even though the others looked out over cliffs directly onto the Pacific Ocean, we both agree that this is the place we would come back to first.

Lovely accommodations!
Use of the property fire pit with an ocean view was a highlight of the stay! Also great loaner bikes made biking into Trinidad easy and fun. Easy walk across the road and down 100 steps to a spectacular beach.

Gorgeous setting!
My Daughter and I shared the apartment. It filled our needs for our two night stay. Being a gardener I appreciated the beautiful garden on the property. Stunning! From the garden you can see the ocean. We weren't able to enjoy the fire pit which I would have like to due to our busy schedule. The hot tub was out of order. It was nice to have a small kitchen. Unfortunately, we encountered ants when we arrived back from the day. I would recommend putting food in the refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable which is important to me. There are no window treatments so there is a lot of light which comes in. There is also a large skylight in the ceiling so if you like to sleep in it could be a problem on a sunny day. There was not an iron for use. I would recommend adding one. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the studio apartment for 2 people. I would rent it again if I am ever in the area again. Thank you for having us!

This well appointed guesthouse is on the grounds of a lush botanical garden separate and private featuring a king bed with quality linens, very nicely furnished, a full kitchen, and outdoor dining and BBQ, beach access, and hot tub.
One bedroom, one bath, kitchen, outdoor balcony deck, hot tub. Cable TV, high speed internet, BBQ.
The house is at Luffenholtz beach, where you can stroll, enjoy magnificent sunsets, paint or take photographs. Farther down the road, you can surf, stroll on a sandy beach, admire sea anemones and other tide pool creatures or just relax on the sand.
