The house and surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed the amenities offered in this home, such as the pool table, hot tub and horse shoes. Very peaceful and quite clean.

Fantastic Option in Tahoe-Truckee
Our family of four stayed here for a week-long ski holiday leading up to Christmas. The property is exactly as advertised and suited our requirements perfectly. Everything was clean, well-organized and operational. The beds were comfortable and the heat worked well. We kept toasty warm despite lots of snow and frigid temperatures. We would certainly come back!

This one is great for all!
We have stayed in this property twice and just love it! The first time we shared it with another couple in the early Fall. The second time we shared it with my parents and sibling. Both times we spent most of our days exploring the area, but because the house is so comfortable, a few days we just vegged. Reading, playing pool, walking...there is plenty to do, and the surrounding area is breathtaking. The house is beautifully decorated and well kept. For us, the best thing was being able to cook together. The owners are clearly foodies, since the kitchen is fully equipped to make and serve gourmet meals. There is a nice dining table that seats 8-10, which is nice if you have a larger group. We can't wait for the next opportunity to get back there, and when we do we will DEFINITELY stay at Hawley Haus!

Summer Retreat in Beautiful Tahoe Area
We have adult children and everyone had their own space. The lovely water feature in the front yard has a small sitting area and is a great place to read a book. The great room and kitchen dining area are very well appointed. The kitchen has all the neccesities. The master bedroom is especially well done. We were there in the summer months so didn't use the fireplaces, but they are beautiful. We used the deck and hot tub quite often and loved the privacy. It is in a great location for those who play golf or tennis. We even had a bocce ball game. The home is very convenient to all recreational activities of Tahoe Donner. We also used the Donner Lake Beach for the Tahoe Donner owners. Lots of things to do without travelling far. I would image it would be a great location for a winter visit. True pride of ownership!

This beautiful home has superior, quality mountain furnishings and eclectic artwork. Large windows throughout the great room and dining area create an irresistible temptation to take to the slopes or any of the numerous other activities the Tahoe winters have to offer. Within an approx.15 minute drive to North Star, Squaw Valley/Alpine, Sugar Bowl. During the day, the home and surrounding property offers plenty of sunshine. The kitchen includes granite counter tops, custom made pine cabinets and is equipped with everything you could possibly need to put together an incredible holiday meal. In the winter, you might choose to enjoy relaxing by the fire playing fun games for adults and children, watching a movie or reading one of the many beautiful books provided in the open den/library. Finally, the town of Truckee, in which the home is located, is the most charming of all the small towns surrounding Lake Tahoe.
