Simply Amazing
Our stay at The Luffenholtz Beach House was simply amazing. The architectural design of the home coupled with masterpiece craftsmanship and authentic Cap Cod furnishings, truly puts this piece of the property in a class by itself. Perched on a knoll directly above Luffenholtz Beach, the house offers amazing views of this Pacific seascape gem from every room (including the master bathroom). The attention to detail is not just evident within the house, but throughout the three and half acres of botanical gardens it sits on. Luffenholtz Beach House offers at least five separate viewing spots to sit and soak up the sun and the scent of the ocean air. Our favorite was the roof-top deck above the master bedroom. A quick stroll across the road will have you lazily walking the most gorgeous stretch of beach of the northern coastline. And if you are not into walking, the house is equipped with fat-tire bikes to ride the beach. The fire pit at dusk was a great way to end the evening, although relaxing those weary bones in the hot tub nestled at the back of the property was also a brilliant way to watch the sun slip into the Pacific. Without question, this is simply an amazing piece of property that allows you to unwind and reconnect with the beauty of Mother Nature in the most idyllic setting.

Luffenholtz Beach house is a perfect romantic retreat set in a botanical garden with a creek running through the property. Enjoy the ocean view from the hot tub, stroll the grounds, enjoy a hot drink at the fire pit as you watch the sun set into the Pacific Ocean. This elegant and luxurious Cape Cod masterpiece home was built by a fine homebuilder as his personal retreat. The quality and attention to detail is evident. The home was recently professionally decorated and furnished.
The second story master suite enjoys a full ocean view, fireplace, exquisite sleigh bed with a top of the line mattress, fine linens, and down beddings. The carpets of blush Belgium wool and the walnut hardwood floors are accented with Persian rugs.
A short walk up a stairway from the master bedroom stairway rewards you with a spectacular rooftop view of the ocean. Relax in the furnished “widow’s walk” roof deck as you enjoy the sunset.
The owners are avid cooks, so naturally there’s a chef-quality kitchen. You’ll prepare fine meals from local ingredients, and enjoy a gas stove, from Italy, sharp Global knives and All-Clad cookware.
This is a luxurious couple’s retreat with a detached guesthouse, also boasting a fully equipped kitchen. It’s a great place to privately host your visitors for an additional cost.
A short stroll brings to the Luffenholtz Beach stairway, or hike to Houda Point, Humboldt County’s finest surf spot.
The town of Trinidad lies a short two miles away, an easy ride on the fat tire beach bikes. You can cruise Clam Beach at low tide, play Bocce, buy gifts or art, taste wine, go river rafting or deep sea fishing. You can start the day with a cappuccino at the Beachcomber. Enjoy a meal at Larrupin’s, Sunset Grill, The Eatery, Seascape or the Burger Joint.
