Offering the best of both worlds, privacy, natural beauty and easy access to the best wineries and activities in the region. This romantic Treehouse like cottage is located on 5 acres in the mountains above the Valley of the Moon in Sonoma County.
Ideally situated between the towns of Kenwood and East Santa Rosa, our retreat is in the very heart of Sonoma's wine country.
The round studio cottage features a waterfall, suspension bridge and a star gazer dwelling on a cliff. It is often used by honeymooners - for anniversaries and birthday celebrations.
Only 15 to 30 minutes to some of the best wineries and dining in the region.
The cottage is listed in the Lover's Guide to Waterfalls and offers private hiking trails and a 40 foot waterfall in the winter & spring. Situated at a private residence, the Bella Luna Mountaintop Retreat, offers privacy, breathtaking views and a magical "tree house" like place to stay.
The little studio cottage has a circular skylight and has an enchanting light that surrounds her. She is nestled in a grove of oak trees and has a truly magical feeling.
Many honeymooners have stayed with us and guests celebrating anniversaries and special birthdays.
The OUTDOOR HOT TUB will be available beginning May 2015 - there is an extra fee for use of the hot tub, which must be paid a week before arrival to clean and ready the hot tub. We charge $100 for the use of the outdoor hot tub during your stay. If you have booked four nights or longer the use of the hot tub is free. Please note there is a jacuzzi for two in the cottage itself.

Please note - owners live in a separate house on the property and are available to help our guests with anything they need. We prefer to give our guests complete privacy, so it is rare that we see guests except when checking them in.
We are sorry we cannot accept pets - as so many of our guests have allergies.
This Treehouse like cottage has scores of followers. We have had many people propose marriage at the star house (a small dwelling for star watching and sunset views).
Please note you do not need to cross the bridge to get to the tree house cottage.
The wifi is only available on request and for limited periods (we turn it off at night).
There is a jacuzzi for 2 people inside the cottage itself.

The cottage is a small studio with a large wrap around deck. There is a kitchenette in the cottage as well as a jacuzzi tub for two people.
Guest Access:
Our bridge over our waterfall and the star house are a short hike from the cottage. There are also private hiking trails and we are walking distance to Hood Mtn. Park (1/4 mile up the road).
Interaction with Guests:
We like to greet our guests and spend a few minutes orientating them to the property. We give our guests complete privacy so they can enjoy our property. Its rare that we see guests after they check in…although we have on occasion had guests stay for dinner, a drink or even a sail on SF bay.
On major holidays we are not available to greet guests - we ask that they check in on their own.
The Neighborhood

Getting around:
You definitely need a car to get to our mountaintop oasis. You park right next to the cottage.
