Minimum StayRental home in Paradise
We had the pleasure of spending our vacation at Pam's beautiful home. The pictures do not show the overall beauty of the home. We like to go out for lunch and prepare the evening meal either on the grill or in the beautiful kitchen with all the cooking utensils. We were joined by our Son and family from Canada and the house slept 5 in complete comfort. We used the discount coupons that came with the country club membership, to rent a kayak to go out on the lake. All in all, it was a perfect vacation on beautiful Lake San Marcos and special thanks to Pam for making it possible.

San Marcos
Perfect for all of our needs! Very clean, well-stocked home on the lake, roomy enough for the two of us to spread out, with all the amenities you can imagine. We spent our days wandering all over San Diego County, had cozy evenings watching recorded news programs, and all of our shopping needs were very close by (within minutes). Thank you, Pam, we intend to return during other times of the year, and we have raved about your property to all our friends and family. =) Larry and Missy

Outstanding Private Getaway at the Lake
We are an active retired couple who spent a pleasant, quiet week at the end of January, 2017, at this delightful home on the lake. This 2 bed, 2 bath residence has been completely renovated. Furnishings, beds & decorating are all of a high standard and the home is perfect for a couple who enjoy "spreading" out with their own bathrooms or for 4 adults who would each have their own (small) bathrooms. The charming owners live next door and are happy to assist with any questions; however, they are not intrusive. The view from the home is truly beautiful. Sitting in the large sun room is totally relaxing either watching the huge TV, (3 TVs in total) or sitting around the dining table that accommodates 8 or more or just watching the water fowl, swans & quiet electric (?) powered party boats on the lake. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with all the utensils you could ever need plus the bar area has a huge variety of glasses, etc. to prepare the fanciest of beverages. The outside area, complete with a log fire arrangement and large gazebo-type patio cover, are perfect for enjoying the views & wonderful climate of Lake San Marcos. This is NOT a party place. If you are looking for peace and quiet and an idyllic view vacation home, this is the place for you. In addition to the attractive new restaurant The Decoy @ Lake San Marcos, there are numerous other great restaurants & shops within 15 mins. of the Lake. Check out The Forum over the hill in La Costa. Also the Coaster (train) station is just 20 mins away & the 45 minute train ride runs down to San Diego w/ various fun stops in between. The Coaster is clean, efficient and the views are pristine - so much easier than fighting the freeway traffic and then having to find a parking place in San Diego. The Fish Market restaurant in San Diego is fabulous. It is right on the water adjacent to the Midway aircraft carrier, which is open to the public. So much to do....so little time! A beautiful fully equipped property in a wonderful
We had a wonderful holiday stay in this property. The outdoor area is beautiful with a large dining table and barbecue and many chairs and cushions for relaxing. One can wander straight out of the gate to the lake. The owners live next door and were incredibly welcoming and helpful and looked after our every need. Inside the house is spacious and fully equipped. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable with beautiful linen and plenty of towels. A card provides access to swimming pools and tennis courts. We will definitely be back!

Enjoy the year round paradise weather at Lake San Marcos. Every morning watch the sun rise over the lake, mountains and St. Mark's Golf Course.
Lake front stand alone home. King size bed in the master, twin beds in the second bedroom, a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. All linen and towels are provided, even beach towels. Cookware and service for 6 are furnished. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances including an ice maker, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, stove and microwave. Water is always hot from the tankless water heater. A washer and dryer are located in the garage.
To make your exotic cocktails, you have a separate mini bar with sink, refrigerator and blender There are three orange trees and a lemon tree in the side yard so you can pick your fruit for your favorite drink. Meals may be served on a table for 6 while watching the boats sail by through the floor to ceiling sun room windows. You can relax in a separate living space in the sun room while watching a 50 inch flat screen HD television. There are also HD televisions in the master bedroom and the living room. The house is equipped with wireless internet service as well as Netflex.
Go out the sun room sliding door, walk twenty feet and you can sit on the bank and fish or watch the ducks, snow egrets and blue heron fly by or see the Lake San Marcos Swans patrol the lake, both black and white. A large trellis covered deck is a great place to end the day by throwing a steak on the barbecue, relax and watch the boaters and water fowl. If you want to boat around the lake, a half block away water craft are available for rent.
The location of Lake San Marcos is as ideal as the weather. There is a casino bus to take you to the Valley View Casino less than 100 yards away from the house. You are minutes from the beach, San Marcos Restaurant Row (every type of restaurant you can imagine all under separate roofs), multiple movie theaters, three Costco's, The Stone Brewery and The Safari Wild Animal Park. If you enjoy live theater, the Moonlight Theater is a wonderful venue in the summer. This is an outdoor theater where you enjoy Broadway shows while sitting under the stars.
This is an active retirement community with swimming pools, tennis and paddle tennis courts. There is shopping for the ladies at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall, 20 min. away.
Lake San Marcos is a hidden gem, come and discover the beauty for yourselves.
