Casita Encanto is a charming, luxury, one bedroom, fully furnished cottaget, just 7 miles from downtown San Diego in a unique, eclectic, semi-rural neighborhood. We are zoned agricultural with a 1/2 acre minimum lot requirement. Because of the zoning laws, there are no apartment buildings - just one house on each 1/2 acre. As a result, you feel like you are in the country, even though we're just a few miles away from the city.
It is very quiet and peaceful here. You will not find any trendy restaurants in this neighborhood, but there are countless of them just a few miles away. We have been in this neighborhood for 24 years and absolutely love it. It is the best kept secret in all of San Diego - as far as I'm concerned.
When you step off the porch of the Casita, you are in the most beautiful, fragrant shade garden. Relax on your private redwood deck and enjoy the pleasure of watching hummingbirds and butterflies play. Smell the extraordinary perfume of the trumpet trees and night blooming jasmine. You can catch the morning sun on the upper deck or the middle deck.
Sit and relax in the blue alcove and you will feel like you've been transported to some tropical jungle. Wander into the back yard or down into the fruit orchard and pick some ripe, organically grown fruit. Because we are located in a subtropical environment, our gardens and plants are beautiful year round. We also have great nighttime views. Imagine how wonderful it would be to get away from the cold and snow and spend some time here in warm, sunny San Diego. Have a romantic getaway or bring the kids. We can accommodate up to 4 people. Come stay for a few days, a week or a month.
Downtown San Diego is a vibrant, energetic area with many fine restaurants, live music venues and broadway theater. We are very close to Coronado Island and the Silver Strand Beach, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Petco Park, the Convention Center, Seaport Village, San Diego Harbor, the Embarcadero, Old Town, Mission Hills, and much more.
