Located at the southern end of Orange County, it is exactly half way between LA and San Diego. And there is Amtrak that stops right in town. It is walking distance away, and can take you north or south for a day trip, not that you are going to want to go anywhere once you get here! We are most famous for our world class surf beaches, particularly, Trestles, San Onofre, and T-Street. T-Street is a 7 min walk, Trestles and San Onofre are a short drive or bike ride away. And you have to take a walk on the San Clemente beach trail. Just walk down to T-Street beach, you're at the half way point of the trail. Go south one day, north another.
This 1961 home is located in the most desirable SW section, on the beach side of the fwy, (very important). It is nestled in a single family only neighborhood, and the street is lined on both sides with beautifully maintained beach houses! As opposed to the Pier bowl section that it is closer to the pier, where there is a lot of congestion, a lot of apartments,lack of parking, and more noise in general. Take a stroll thru the whole neighborhood to see some wonderful architecture and foliage.
Your wonderful getaway comes with 2 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, plus sleeping for one adult or 2 kids on the custom sofa made to double as a bed. I've slept on it, it's nice and firm and comfortable. There are travertine floors throughout the whole house except for a wood floor in the Master Bdr. There are 2 TVs, one in the Living room and one in the Master Bedroom. Yes, and WiFi also. Beautiful vaulted ceiling. The centerpiece of the house is the luxury kitchen. The pictures speak for themselves. The green granite is like nothing you've ever seen before! Prepare a meal or do dishes while looking at the ocean and feeling the cool ocean breezes coming thru the large slide glass door facing the ocean! The upgrade is only 3 years old, all the appliances are top notch, it even has a convection oven. The bathroom has the same granite and Travertine, and has a private toilet closet. There is a mid-century modern free standing wood fireplace for the colder months. Check the picture. Out on the outside deck, there is outdoor living space to lounge and take in the view and breeze. There are 2 large Yucca trees in the yard that flower with these amazing large blooms a couple of times a year. Keep your fingers crossed.... The house comes with the beach goodies you'll need: beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, boogie boards, fins, a cooler, you're set! Don't forget your bathing suits and sunscreen!
You will be close to everything San Clemente has to offer. The major grocery store in town is literally a 90 second walk, REALLY! Quaint breakfast nooks, restaurants, fast food, and coffee shops are 2-3 min walk. And if you gotta have your Starbuck's, it's a 5 min walk! Avenida Del Mar, with all it's beach shops and restaurants is 2 blocks past the Starbucks.
This 875 sq ft vacation rental is fully furnished, available year round. It is one unit of a duplex but has no adjoining wall to the other unit. It is on the 2nd level. Since you are uphill near the top of the street, you are looking down on the single story rooftops and trees as you look toward the ocean. Quite a view of the whole neighborhood and ocean.
