Home Description

Tucked in the hills of San Diego, our organic subtropical fruit farm is a great centrally located getaway destination. The 4-room suite has it's own entrance and is completely separate from the main farmhouse. Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the quiet.

The Space:
Queen bed, walk-in closet, small living room and beautiful limestone bathroom with all the basics waiting for your arrival. Completely private with a vintage Chambers stove in the kitchen off the living room. Full size refrigerator stocked with organic breakfast items, bottled water, snacks and produce from our farm. Flat screen TV. Coffee maker with coffee, toaster, juicer, microwave waiting for your enjoyment. Hot tub with jets for your private use just steps from your door.

Guest Access:
Great parking, just drive right up to your door. Walk the farm during day light hours. We ask that you just stay on the roads. excellent wifi here and great cell phone reception because there's a tower nearby. The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a rural destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also offer a tiny produce stand/market and frequent market events. Temecula Creek Inn is a few miles away and offers a beautiful wedding venue as well as a romantic restaurant and full bar with stunning views of their water features and beautifully maintained golf course.

Interaction with Guests:
We travel a lot too, but when we're on the farm, we love to enjoy our guests' company if they're so inclined. Cup of coffee in the morning? Glass of wine in the evening? We'll follow our guests lead and never intrude. Just ask if you have questions about what to see or where to go, there's so much to do in San Diego! We always respect our guests' need for privacy.

The Neighborhood:
Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet our farm seems like it's miles away from the city. We're one exit south of Temecula's Old Town District and walking distance to the Roadrunner Winery. Only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego and Los Angeles renowned attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite.

Great place to get away!

My wife and I stayed recently. We found it totally relaxing. From our leisurely strolls down to the chickens, to hanging with goats, to just relaxing in the unit. Throw a lovely hot tub in the mix and we were set. If you like to hike, we did the Santa Margarita Ecological Preserve. It was great too, just be ready to do some water crossings. We stayed 2 nights. One night we ate at Rainbow Oaks Restaurant. Great food, huge portions. The second night we used the stove. We like to cook so learning to do it on that stove made it more fun for us. We are looking forward to getting back here and maybe even trying out the other units. The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. Can't wait to book this place again!!!

An amazingly lovely stay!

My husband and I loved our stay at Donna's farm, in the Romantic Farm Stay house. It was wonderfully peaceful and quiet, and the organic veggies and fruit and eggs from the farm were AH-MAZING. My favorite part of every day was visiting the alpacas and chickens, and feeding them snacks. I would definitely go back, next time I would stay longer. Thanks, Donna!

Cutest place we have ever stayed at.

So happy with our choice of staying at this place. our only regret was not staying longer. Was so relaxing and they put a lot of work into making you feel more then welcome and at hope. They provided a bottle of wine , breakfast bagels and cream cheese. Not to mention fresh fruit and coffee from there farm. We will defiantly be back!
