We had a great time, this house was perfect for our family we all had enough space and we enjoyed hanging out in the patio. The beach is extremely close and not overcrowded at all. We would definitely recommend this house and would love to stay here again in the future.

By the Beach
Lots of room for the family to each have their own room and. We all loved to seat out front and eat all of our meals together and 2 bathrooms was a big plus and a short walk to the beach was great and the neighborhood was great and all the extras like beach towels and toys for the beach

A quiet beach getaway
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this cute little cottage in Oxnard! The beach was really close, quiet, and mostly empty (despite the fact that we stayed there the last week of June). The weather was perfect too- highs in the low 70s and lows around 60. Don't let the gorgeous weather fool you though, sunscreen is a must! The cottage had many things we needed to enjoy the beach too like beach chairs, beach towels, and beach toys to build the perfect sand castle. A short drive away (5-7 min) there is a grocery store, clothing store, dollar store, and fast food for a quick bite. We also used the kitchen quite a bit and we found it had all of the basic pots and pans, etc we needed for cooking. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We stayed about 10 days and loved the beachy decor of each room in the yellow cottage in Silverstrand. The master bath was super cute and functional (great shower!) and the living area had plenty of room for the three of us to relax in the evenings. Would recommend to others!

Less than 1 block to the sand! Enjoy the mild beach climate of Central CA but close to all the attractions of Southern CA without the hustle and bustle of the city. Our home is located near the cities of Oxnard and Ventura, CA in the uncrowded oceanside community of Silverstrand Beach. Grab the kids and boogie boards and walk down our quiet street (400 ft) to one of the best beaches in Ventura County. The waves are awesome and there is a great sense of welcome and hospitality in this California retro community.
One of our favorite things about Silverstrand is hopping on our beach cruisers and going to our neighborhood eating spots. You really feel the local vibe while enjoying BBQ ribs or other great cuisine at Quincy's. Equally great is spending an afternoon/evening on the property's large patio barbequing your own feast.
Travel 25 miles north and enjoy fabulous restaurants, sight seeing and farmers markets in Santa Barbara. Travel 60 miles south and experience all that Los Angeles has to offer including Disneyland and Universal studios. 20 miles north/east is Ojai, one of LA's best kept secrets for golf and spa, not to mention star sightings.
