Excellent Location

The location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything. Loved seeing the elk in the front yard. The views from the windows were amazing. The place is stocked with more than everything you need. There is some road noise from 101 but it did not bother us. Carole was very prompt and helpful answering questions. There is no photo of the bathroom but I can tell you that it is big, very nice, with plenty of hot water for multiple people's showers. The layout of the place is unconventional. The bathroom is with the main bedroom. The lofts are accessible with very steep ship ladders. The ceilings in the lofts are lower and slanted. It's worked out fine for us (two adults in 50's and two teens) but it's definitely not a layout that will work for everyone. The wifi was not that great but I kind of expected that in the rural setting.

Perfect location!!

My family and I had a fantastic time! The location was absolutely perfect (more perfect than we originally thought when we booked). It is literally across the highway from Trillium Falls and only 8 miles from Fern Canyon. Gorgeous and relaxing scenery. Carole was great about answering my questions in a timely manner. The farmhouse was clean and comfortable. My boys loved climbing up into the loft area (although I will say the ladders are very steep as mentioned in the description. My only suggestion would be to add a railing, but that's probably me being overprotective). :-) The satellite dish did not work for us, but it wasn't a big deal because we were there to enjoy the surrounding nature. Such a perfect and beautiful spot!

charming

The owner, Carole seems very nice. I needed to get in touch with her and she answered the phone and was very helpful. At first I needed to get used to the property being so close to 101 but once I accepted it it didn't bother me. The Elk visited us and it was magical! The home is charming and I enjoyed looking at the beautiful views from every window. I did met the renter, Chris who was also nice. Great places to hike and explore. Loved going to Trinidad too.

Dog friendly, clean, comfortable

Beautiful home, super close to trails. It was spotless, and very easy with our dog. Only caveat- if you have more than 2 people, there's a need to go up the captains ladders (which is clearly described on site). I would not recommend this for elderly or very young children.
